In the last 40 years since ma*****na has become popular in the U.S, the image of cannabis went from a fun-loving social element in the 60’s and 70’s, to falling on the wrong side of the Drug War in the 80’s and 90’s, to finally finding its rightful place amongst the people in the 2000’s. The medicinal world has opened its arms to cannabis with countless tales of people who use the plant to deal with their ailments and illnesses. It’s clear the cannabis boom is alive and well in America, and companies are launching and getting into the industry, finding their place in this next era prohibition. What both sides lack are a dedicated literary and visual voice to help share their stories and change the way society perceives cannabis sativa. CHANGE

Even with the growing acceptance of cannabis, many still have negative thoughts on nation wide legalization whether for medicinal, recreational or both and its effect on users – this is where MARY comes in. We’ve pulled together a well-experienced editorial and creative team, all of whom support the vision we’ve set forth. Collectively, we can’t wait to get this magazine in society’s hands so the fight is one step closer to being won, and the lives of the people and their relationship with cannabis can be documented. Together, we can change and eliminate the stigmas, clichés, and stereotypes that haunt the community. CULTIVATE

It’s no secret that cannabis brings people together and puts them in a happier, peaceful, and less stressful state of mind. There’s a whole world waiting to be shown that cannabis users aren’t the lazy, unorganized, and irresponsible individuals whom have been stereotyped as such. The Division I council voted to remove use of cannabis products from the banned drug class for championships and postseason participation in football.

The move was among several approved by the council on Tuesday 6/25, including allowing college football teams to have all staffers, and not just the head coach and 10 assistants, coach athletes on the field.

Brazil’s Supreme Court on Tuesday voted to decriminalize possession of cannabis for personal use, making the nation one of Latin America’s last to do so, in a move that could reduce its massive prison population.

With final votes casted, a majority of the justices on the 11-person court have voted in favor of decriminalization since deliberations began in 2015.

The justices must still determine the maximum quantity of cannabis that would be characterized as being for personal use and when the ruling will enter into effect.

All the justices who have voted in favor said decriminalization should be restricted to possession of cannabis in amounts suitable for personal use. Selling cannabis will remain illegal.

Have you noticed your local w**d shops are closed? Earlier this month, Governor Kathy Hochul announced that in just 3 weeks, more than 100 illicit storefronts across the state would be shut down by the New York State Cannabis Enforcement Task Force. The State’s commitment to shutting down these unlicensed cannabis storefronts has directly contributed to a 27 percent increase in legal cannabis sales in areas impacted by the Task Force’s enforcement activities. Maryland Gov. Wes Moore ordered more than 175,000 pardons for cannabis convictions on Monday, saying the “most sweeping state-level pardon in any state” will help reverse harms from the past caused by the war on drugs.

During a news conference today, Moore said the executive order will affect “tens of thousands of Marylanders” convicted of misdemeanors. Some may have had more than one conviction pardoned through the process.

Though the pardons will not result in anyone being released from incarceration — and nor will they result in having past convictions automatically expunged from a person’s background check — advocates praised the move as a way of removing barriers to housing, employment, or educational opportunities based on convictions for conduct that is no longer illegal. STASH BOXES - “My stash box actually isn’t a box at all. I came across these trays at a smoke shop in the village. When I saw the sushi design I was sold. So I picked up two. One tray holds all the goodies, and I use the second tray as a cover. It works out better for me because I like to use jars and they never fit right in my old cigar boxes.

A little variety is good, so I keep a few different strains on deck. In this photo there’s GG #4, Granddaddy Purp and Sour Diesel in the MF Doom jar. Most of the time when I’m smoking by myself, I’ll smoke out the bowl or bubbler, but when I’m smoking with friends I’ll roll up some papers. are my papers of choice. They burn the best.

I do like to try different brands though, so your liable to find anything from Marley’s to Zig Zags. I just got into the whole cannabis oil game too. Their discreetness is a gamer changer for me. Brass Knuckles and are my favorite. I’m not into fancy lighters because people steal them (myself included), so I keep simple with a few clippers and the classic .

This Thursday afternoon, the Biden administration announced that it will officially move forward with a proposal to reclassify the plant from Schedule I to III. The Justice Department submitted the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to the Office of the Federal Register. If approved, the rescheduling would limit the punishment for those in possession of cannabis when it comes to a federal crime. This comes after earlier this month, the DEA announced plans to reschedule cannabis.

Since 1971, cannabis has been placed as a Schedule I substance alongside he**in, m**h and other lethal substances. Rescheduling to Schedule III would place cannabis as a “moderate to low potential for physical and psychological dependence” such as Tylenol with codeine, depressants, anabolic steroids and testosterone.
