Bass Fishing With MLF/BFL Professional Tiffany Hart
On this episode we are chatting with MLF/BFL Professional, Tiffany Hart. She is from Normangee, Texas and started fishing when she was 17 years old. Tiffany says she started fishing mostly for fun, but when she married her husband, Troy, he lit a different kind of fire in her she didn't even know she had. In 2017, she learned she had that spark for bass fishing and she really wanted to join a team or a club, but she admitted she wasn't feeling very welcomed by the men she encountered. Around that time, she met some ladies from the Lady Bass Anglers Association (LBAA) who welcomed her in and invited her to join the tour. Tiffany admits, "...it was on from there." Since then, she won an LBAA Federation event with the Women's Bass Tour at Caney Lake in 2021 and she has been fishing as a Professional in the MLF/BFL Cowboy Division. There are lots of people who compete in these MLF tours and it's amazing to see more and more women being "Captains of their own ship." We have even spoken with several ladies who are fishing multiple tours, including the Bass Opens, MLF, Women Bass Tour, and the LBAA. Not only are these ladies taking control by fishing as boaters, but they are doing amazing! The other anglers, the announcers, the crowds, and people on social media are starting to recognize the ladies for the bags they bring to the weigh-in. Tiffany had an amazing year in 2021 and she is off to another amazing one this year. When she is not taking care of the Ranch and deer, she is likely on the water. I can't wait to see how her 2022 fishing year plays out! Keep a lookout for her in the Cowboy Division as I'm sure we'll see her on stage quite a bit!
LBAA Professional Pam Horne: Fishing in 2022 Like There is No 2023
In this episode of Women's World of Fishing, we have Lady Bass Angler's Association Professional, Pam Horne! While she may be a newer angler to the LBAA, she is most definitely not new to bass fishing. She moved to Arkansas in 2015 and joined her local club, the Northwest Arkansas Bassmasters. Pam says she fished as a co-angler for 3 years while she familiarized herself with the local waters but then by 2018, she decided to take that "jump" we have talked about before and just move to the front of the boat. As we can all see by her statistics, she definitely has more success when she is in control of her own day out on the water. I'm sure this is a decision she does not regret. I'm also guessing (we'll find out) this is what gave her the confidence to make that jump to join the LBAA, first as a co-angler, for a very brief time, then jumping straight to the Pro side. In addition to fishing the LBAA this year, she is also fishing five other tournament series that span throughout the entire year. We all know that time on the water is the most vital part in learning as much as you possibly can about fishing. With that being said, Pam's fishing career is going to only get better from here. Not only has she already cashed checks when competing against some of the best female anglers in the country, but she has the desire to learn more, the passion for the sport, the dedication to put in the time and effort, and the grit to ensure nothing gets in her way. Pam is a great role model for anglers coming into the sport as well. She is one of the first ladies to walk up to the "newbie," and welcome them because she remembers being that new angler. She is always walking around with a smile on her face and her warm and outgoing personality draws people to her. She invites ladies from other states to come fish with her in Alabama and she also fishes tournaments with local youth. Pam Horne is a great mentor, teacher, and ambassador in bass fishing. She is fishing in
Changing Lanes With Our First Northern Angler, Dana Carlson!
Even though the Women's World of Fishing Monday Night Takeover has only been around for about 9 months, we have managed to interview several different Lady Anglers. While all of them have been fierce competitors on the water, they've all been unique in their strengths when it comes to fishing. In fishing, I think we all are and we have covered this a lot on the show. However, Dana Carlson is bringing an edge we've NEVER covered on the show, I don't think ever. When we are chatting about fishing, it's usually southern anglers we are talking to and so it is just an unspoken assumption that we are talking about fishing for Largemouth and occasionally Kentucky (spotted) bass. Sure we've all caught Smallmouth bass, but I don't think the majority of people we've had on the show (or Angie and I) actually target them or have a lot of confidence in seeking them in tournaments. Well, let's focus on our Minnesota Angler Dana! She travels South to fish with the Lady Bass Anglers Association (LBAA) but other than that she is fishing the Great Lakes, one tournament trail as a Professional and one tournament trail as a co-angler. If you haven't seen some of the absolute golden tanks she's caught then you are missing out! In addition, when it gets dangerously cold, she is out there ice fishing as well. I couldn't be more excited to have her on the show and gain some more knowledge about fishing. I mean, for us bass fishermen, when we are competing, Smallmouth count as keepers so it would be nice if we knew how to catch them if they are in the waters we fish. I think Dana can definitely give us some tips on how to improve upon this. #strikerbrands #geigerstrailsend #bassnutluresco

ICAST 2021 Discussed By Several Lady Pro Anglers!
This week we are taking a break from "Fishing For Beginners," and we are going to be chatting with some amazing professional lady anglers who attended the ICAST 2021 event! Last year the event was canceled due to the Covid-19 crisis so there were multiple companies who were very anxious to get to Florida to showcase all of their progress since 2019. This was a four day event and no matter how organized, prepared, and motivated you are, there is absolutely no way that any person could go down and participate in everything that ICAST has to offer. It's THAT big of an event with THAT many people/professionals, booths, and companies! So HERE is our best laid plan for tonight......
Our amazing guest list tonight includes Professional Bass Anglers Pam Horne, Sherry Jacks, Nikki Jo, and Beth Mills/Lori Povisil from 2 Chicks in a Boat! Plus, our very own Professional Bass Angler Co-Host Angie Scott was also in attendance! They are going to be telling us ALL about their experiences, but we want to focus on the following:
1. ICAST CUP Tournament that was put on by MLF and what was offered to the highest placing female team.
2. Take Me Fishing's Women Making Waves Event For Women to Connect/Network
3. New Product Showcasing/Best In Show/Ladies Favorites Coming Soon!
This is going to be a blast everyone! LADIES, if you are into bass fishing, or any kind of fishing, join us....we summon you haha! This will be a whole lotta fun to squeeze into 30-60 minutes, but who cares?! It's our own slice of time together! Don't forget you can email the show up until showtime with any questions at [email protected] or type them into one of the streams we are on! We can't wait to hang with you!!!!!!
"I Want To Start Fishing, Now What?"
At some point in our lives, we were all new to fishing. Whether we started as a kid with a cane pole for panfish with our Dads or our Uncles, or whether we jumped straight into a boat that would fly 70mph to chase bass or another sport fish, we were all still new. Most of us probably had different circumstances, different motivations, and different reasons for giving up on/staying in fishing. Angie and I both came into fishing under completely different circumstances, chasing different species in the beginning, had very different journeys, yet ended up "meeting" on Social Media a few years ago, and in person for the first time at an LBAA event in Missouri! Fishing can take you on so many journeys, introduce you to so many amazing people, and show you some of the most beautiful things you would never see if you didn't fish. There are so many different types of fishing, species to chase, and you can have so much fun with some, or all of them. Don't limit yourself! A couple months ago, we asked for some show topics of what people wanted to learn about, and there were requests for very specific high-level expertise shows, but most of the questions were based on "fishing for beginners," and "how to get my child into fishing," as well as, "I don't have money for a boat so what do I do to get into fishing?" We thought this would be a great starting point to see where the audience wanted us to start exactly. Please email the show at [email protected] and let us know what you would like covered as a beginner! Are you a seasoned angler? Then help us answer questions! Let's keep it interactive! Making the decision to start fishing can be incredibly exciting while you are thinking of all of your journeys you're about to embark on. Then you think of everything involved to catch these rascals and how gear/bait is different for every species, and boom, you are overwhelmed and second guess this decision. I think we can help break it down for you! Don't g
