Just Occurring*** Burglars break into La Mirada home

Deputies are at a residence in the 13300 block of Lisburn Place just north of Regional Park after receiving a call from the owner stating his Ring alarm system had been activated and three males were seen on video attempting to open the door from the rear yard.

Deputies quickly surrounded the home in the usually quiet neighborhood just off Foster Road shortly after noon and found a rear window open.

Deputies conducted a series orders by loudspeaker for any persons inside the house to surrender a search of the inside of the home, both of which were negative leading deputies to believe that the suspects that had been seen on the video were gone when they arrived.

***Update 1:05 p.m.

Confirmed Break-in

Deputies have determined a burglary of the home has occurred and there was a delay in the resident receiving the video from Ring.

The suspects description taken from the video is that there were three suspects all described as male black adults wearing dark hoodies and black pants.

No vehicle or direction of travel was seen.

Occurring Now***

Deputies are responding to Imperial Hwy and Santa Gertrudes Ave to a report of a male carrying a rifle slung over his shoulder walking southbound.

A sheriff's air unit is responding to assist in the search.

**Update

Deputies were unable to locate the man. (I hope he was not doing this in response to the Supreme Court decision Thursday regarding the right to carry in public. Public agencies have not issued any guidelines on how to handle these situations this quickly. What good is it to be dead right?)
