About Us
Started in July 2012, Shout Out UK has become one of Britain’s fastest growing alternative and independent news media platforms. Via journalism we aim to show young
and old that politics has a direct impact on everything you do in life, with the aim of lowering the political apathy currently growing in the UK. We pride ourselves on our highly research content, linking current affairs around the globe, with the history behind each issue. Why a Voiceless generation? We believe political apathy comes from society induced ignorance. Young people are not being told WHY politics is important, or HOW to get involved in the political process. Society expects all of us to get enlightened as soon as we hit 18. It does not work this way. If you have not been told how the system works or why it is important to get yourself involved in it, then we will not do it. Are we currently voiceless? Yes we are. Not because we are physically voiceless, but simply because people do not know the power they possess. We aim to open people’s minds by showing them the power they, themselves hold. Shout Out UK is the only society based news network which also includes a highly professional editing procedure, to make sure all our content is of the highest quality possible. All articles, prior to publication, are edited and fact checked by our deputy-editors and then proof read and checked once more by our Chief Editor. Consulting Work
Through its work, Shout Out UK acts as a bridge between young leaders, corporations and governments: Giving young people a route into policy/politics work and an opportunity to share their ideas with government and corporations. Via our membership young people have access to specialist policy evidence submissions and debate forums, found nowhere else. Events
Shout Out UK has run events on a variety of issues, in many different forms: From Art galleries to open forums in Parliament. Our flexible nature allows us to show the many faces that politics has, it is not simply in parliament, but all around us. Some events we have hosted:

Politics in Schools
Shout Out UK launched a campaign called ‘Politics in Schools’ in 2013, with the aim of making politics a compulsory element of the UK National Curriculum. Since its launch, Shout Out UK ran a successful case study in the London borough of Harrow in support of political education in schools. The project, sponsored by Vinspired, saw a remarkable discovery: That students, parents, teachers and local politician’s believe that political education should have a larger presence in schools, with some believing it should be an independent subject; Politics. Shout Out UK is an advocate for Citizen Journalism, believing that it has the power to transform the way news is presented and distributed. Shout Out UK’s Director and founder, Matteo Bergamini, states “Citizen journalism will grow strength in strength and as long as the internet remains free and accessible. It will continue to thrive and give people the information they need to have.”
