We’re intensely proud to announce our new title - ‘Saving K’gari: The Campaign to save an island’ - the memoir of John Sinclair, who led the fight against sand-mining and logging of Fraser Island (as it was then known) in the 1970s-80s.
John was a founding member of FIDO (Fraser Island Defenders Organisation).
We are co-publishing ‘Saving K’gari’ with FIDO, and with the close involvement of John’s family.

Join us for a panel featuring Uncle Noel, Geoff Evans and Matthew Wengert as they discuss Uncle Noel's recently-published memoir Man on a Mission. Uncle Noel’s story inspires and teaches: it is Jinibara truth-telling.

"For those who want a ‘street view’ of how Aboriginal people were treated by too many police, public servants and government departments particularly in the 1970s and 1980s this is an educative read. Noel’s story exposes the suffocating practices of government bureaucrats that categorise the Stolen Generation and the paternalistic Aboriginal ‘reserves’ era."
