The word "bazodee" refers to a confused, dazed or disoriented state. In the context of Barbados' sweetest summer festival, Bazoodee is meant to convey people who are obsessed with Crop Over and forget everything else during that period of time. Bazodee is a Barbadian magazine, which seeks to look at Crop Over from a Barbadian point-of-view but with a visitor-oriented focus. It aims to look at the
festival on a whole, from events to Kadooment. Bazodee reflects the nature of the Crop Over Festival in that it is fun, playful and highly colourful but at the same time it retains serious elements to help readers make suitable choices for a memorable Crop Over experience. Bazodee will be your guide, allowing you to view the Crop Over Festival and all it encompasses through the lens of highly knowledgeable Barbadian Crop Over connoisseurs. But there is more...
Although our primary focus is the promotion of the Crop Over Festival, Bazodee has made significant strides towards the promotion of all efforts, that are brought to our attention, which seek to bolster the advancement of Barbadian culture, its people and their way of life. Such efforts include: cultural events, shows, charitable ventures and the like. After all, Barbadian customs are the driving force of the Crop Over Festival and all roads lead to Kadooment!

Four former monarchs to pay tribute to Crop Over 50
When the 18 finalists of the Courtesy Garage Pic-O-De-Crop Final gather to do battle on Friday night, it will be an historic occasion for more reasons than one.
For the first time, four former monarchs โ each of whom at pivotal times left a lasting mark on the islandโs premier calypso competition โ will take the stage to celebrate Crop Overโs 50th anniversary.
A wave of nostalgia is anticipated to sweep over the National Botanical Gardens as the festivalโs first king Keithroy Destroyer Christian, calypsoโs maestro Most Honourable Anthony Gabby Carter, the most decorated Pic-O-De-Crop monarch Most Honourable Stedson Red Plastic Bag Wiltshire and the celebrated General Edwin Yearwood take the audience on a musical journey through their storied history in the competition.
Destroyer will kick off the show, a role he is quite familiar with, having claimed the crown back in 1975 during the inaugural Crop Over Calypso competition.
