This was easily THE MOST JOYOUS thing I have ever shot ๐ฅน And these 35mm film snaps are just beautiful, itโs fitting.
This performance took place on the Youth Day weekend and was dedicated to the students behind the Soweto Uprising who, amongst others, remain largely ignored and unrecognised. This performance honours them.

This yearโs event transcended the festive atmosphere. It was a powerful statement of resilience. The true significance of Cape Town Pride lied beyond the spectacle. The presence of a diverse crowd, young and old, celebrating their identities openly, sends a powerful message of hope and inclusivity.
These images capture a moment of solidarity, a space where individuals can be themselves without fear or judgment. Kimberley and I took some pretty cool pics while waiting for our Uber for Cape Town Pride. When we first started dating, we hardly ever took any photos together or of each other (weird for me given that Iโm ALWAYS with a camera).
After a while, we decided that we really should make more of an effort to take cute pics together. Weโre getting there, slowly.
I must say these are hella cute! Kim even shot her first roll of film at Pride (proud moment for me). Iโm sure sheโll share some of those snaps with you all when sheโs ready.

As a photographer and filmmaker who documents LGBTQIA+ experiences, I recently had the privilege of capturing Cape Town Pride 2024 on film. The lab finally sent the film scans to me and Iโm excited to share these documentation images with all of you.
๐ This has to be one of the most WHOLESOME days ever. A little throwback to Kat and I hosting our first Christmas together (and my first time hosting one, ever). It was really special. A lot, but special ๐ฅฐ๐ณ๏ธโ๐๐
I really have the best time hanging out with Kimmi. We somehow find ourselves going on little unexpected adventures and spending time with really cool people and doing cute activities. Theyโre not big or extravagant things, but theyโre meaningful, and that makes it special. Iโm so glad and happy that I get to do cute things with my bestie โ๏ธ๐ณ๏ธโ๐

๐๐ฝ I think one of the things Iโve tried to be a little more intentional about is learning to practice patience and appreciate slow growth. Itโs often that the little bits of time an effort you put in today doesnโt pay off immediately. Sometimes the growth is measured in months and years, not days.
