Vitur na wspólnych koncertach z Kurgaall

Już na początku marca na trzy koncerty przyjedzie do Polski legenda black metal z Włoch - Kurgaall . Na wszystkich trzech koncertach zagra również Vitur (+ Dominance oraz Lunacy).
Organizatorem jest Until Death Takes Us.

CHRIST AGONY "Elysium" CD / LP

Na rok 2024 rok przypadało 25-lecie wydania płyty "Elysium" Christ Agony. Od kilku miesięcy trwały prace nad reedycją tego albumu w formacie CD i LP (po raz pierwszy na tym nośniku). CD zostanie wydany w formie klasycznego jewel case + 12-stronicowa książeczka + slipcase. Wersja vinyl będzie limitowana do 300 sztuk i pojawi się w trzech wersjach kolorystycznych. Płyta (180 gr.) spakowana w solidny gatefold + wkładka z tekstami, zdjęciami etc.
Album (zarówno wersja CD jak i LP) został poddany ponownemu masteringowi za który odpowiedzialny jest Haldor Grunberg (Satanic Audio).
Za nową oprawę graficzną zadbał Paweł Ozon (XXV The Sign).

Przedsprzedaż na stronie DP startuje od 31.01.2025

"Elysium" pierwotnie ukazał się 17.05.1999 w barwach Metal Mind Productions. Nagrań dokonano w listopadzie 1998 roku w Selani Studio w Olsztynie. Realizatorami nagrań byli Andrzej Bomba oraz Cezar. Zespół występowal wówczas w składzie Cezar /gitara, wokale/ oraz Blackie /bass/. Gościnnie partie perkusji zarejestrował Docent /Vader/ oraz Bart /Prophecy/. Za całość muzyki i tekstów odpowiedzialny był Cezar.
Po wielu latach płyta doczekała się reedycji w wersji CD (w niskim, limitowanym nakładzie, głównie na potrzeby koncertów) pod szyldem Xul Prod.

2024 was the 25th anniversary of the release of the album "Elysium" by Christ Agony. Work has been underway for several months on the reissue of this album on CD and LP (for the first time on this format). The CD will be released in the form of a classic jewel case + 12-page booklet + slipcase. The vinyl version will be limited to 300 pieces and will be available in three colors. 12" LP (180 gr.) packed in a solid gatefold + insert with lyrics, photos, etc.
The album (both the CD and LP versions) was re-mastered by Haldor Grunberg (Satanic Audio).
Paweł Ozon (XXV The Sign) was responsible for the new graphic design.

"Elysium" was originally released on May 17, 1999 by Metal Mind Productions. The recordings were made in November 1998 at Selani Studio in Olsztyn. The recording engineers were Andrzej Bomba and Cezar. At that time, the band consisted of Cezar (guitar, vocals) and Blackie (bass). Guest drum parts were recorded by Docent /Vader/ and Bart /Prophecy/. Cezar was responsible for all the music and lyrics.
After many years, the album was reissued as a CD (in a low, limited edition, mainly for concerts) under the Xul Prod. flag.

Vitur: Transcending The Self (2024) - mini-review

Polish band Vitur are out with the album "Transcending The Self", and metal is the style explored on this production. It is a rather dramatic variety of extreme metal we get in this case, and a creation that balance aggression and technicality in a fine manner from what I can hear. Aside from a small handful of ambient-flavored, atmospheric laden interludes, this is a production that revolve around vibrant and energetic excursions. The pace and momentum is kept high and the intensity even higher, with intense and brutal barrages of riffs and rhythms creating a borderline overpowering wall of sound. But a wall of sound that contains many subtle and some more overt technically challenging instrument displays, at least from what I can hear, adding numerous details to enjoy for the intent listener. The gruff and distorted vocals add a gritty contrast to the powerful sound cascades here, and whenever the band opts to slow down a bit they also add in a bit more melody to the proceedings. A contrast and variation that serves to emphasize the energy and vibrant nature of the more intense sections of music that is such a defining trait of this album. A production to seek out by those who enjoy extreme metal bands that manage to combine a technical ex*****on with a brutal sound and a high level of intensity.
