how do folks, myself and others are putting together a little 'zine we've lovingly (and somewhat hurridly) dubbed 'Inside Out'. The idea for something like this hit me as I was ranting on Facebook about something or other that had outraged me and I realised that maybe social media sites aren't the best forum for things like this...(though maybe they should be...and don't worry I won't be using thi
s as a soapbox from which to spout my vitriolic bollox I simply mean the sharing of ideas close to your heart)
My friend Bryan gave my the idea to do something like a free press, and I had been wanting to try a 'zine for a while but had no ideas for what to do. so here goes nuthin'
The idea is to connect and relate to like-minded people; I know what you're thinking, "No s**t sherlock..." Wexford has a rich creative history, as some one who has been in bands since I was 17 I like to think I'm part of that; though perhaps not a significant part, still a part of it, and I've noticed that a lot of you enjoy creating as much as if not more than me; you span many different mediums and see the world differently to each other though all of you seek to add a little more beauty to it, to add your own touch to the masterpiece, so here's the plan. I've set this event page up simply to spread the word and to ask that if you have something you'd like to contribute please do. anything in the way of Poems, lyrics, Short Stories, Drawings, Philosophical musings, if any of you in bands have any gigs let us know and we will stick that in too, the same goes for if you have a poetry slam or exhibition we will advertise it. Also the floor is open to you, if there is anything else that any of you out there can offer that we can get out there then please let us know. we're still working out distribution so for now It will only be put out in Enniscorthy, Wexford town and maybe New Ross, this is a completely new venture for any of us involved but we're working on it and once we've found our footing things we will start expanding our reach :)
