"After deciding to get married on New Year’s Eve, Abby and Evan knew their wedding had to live up to the holiday’s hype. Abby says, “I immediately felt the tug between making it a sentimental ceremony celebrating marriage while also trying to throw a huge party that lasts beyond midnight." Abby incorporated New Year’s Eve into every detail, including the seating chart, which featured past years instead of traditional numbers. “Each table had a picture of me and Evan from that year. Our signature drink was a champagne margarita, which I sipped all night through a champagne glass with my 2024 headband on." - Abby + Evan, Featured in Vol. 16.2.

“We are not your traditional bride and groom. We decided to get married on a Wednesday because who does that? After getting dressed, Leonard and I drove to the courthouse to meet our photographer and read our vows together. We also chose to get our marriage license at the same time. Our guests arrived around 11, gathered at the side of the courthouse, and we said our ‘I dos’ surrounded by 12 of our people. This group consisted of family and close friends circling around us as we said our traditional vows to one another. After we tied the knot, we did a flower send-off on the courthouse steps, and then our group went to a Mexican restaurant in Lexington and had lunch on a patio in a laid-back setting. Afterward, we all headed to Keeneland. It was the most perfect day!” - Chasta + Leonard, Featured in Vol.16.2.
