Can I just be HONEST??? 🫣

Some of you may be unclear of my journey I am currently walking. Sit back, grab a cup of coffee and let me share with you a story of how I got here.

8 years ago God brought the idea of online sales into my life. Now I didn’t know what that looked like and I sure didn’t know He would bless me the way He did. I was in awe of His faithfulness and goodness in my life. But somewhere along the journey I got it twisted. I began to focus on the means of what this position was giving me and not the means of what God was doing in me and through me in that position. And in response to that I loss sight of what really mattered.

It was the year 2020 when I started to catch a glimpse of what my life would look like if I kept down the path I was on spiritually and emotionally. My priorities were all dismantled. My purpose was buried by the blessings in my life. I was so distracted by WHAT God was blessing me with that I lost sight of WHY He was blessing me in the first place.

You see God is always pursuing you. But if you aren’t in tune with Him you will miss everything He is pursuing you with. The opportunities, the conversations, the relationships, the people, the job positions, the financial blessings, and so much more. God is in your story! But we fail to notice Him or give Him credit for what He is doing in our lives because everything is going great in the season we’re in.

It’s easy to be happy when everything is going your way. But what happens when everything is stripped away?!? Are you still happy? Do you still find joy?!? If the answer is no, then you’ve focused on the wrong thing. The blessings in your life are not your source. He is the source. And if we truly surrender and rely on Him we will remain joyful no matter what our circumstances.

So everything in my life was going great. I had everything I wanted. My family’s future was secure financially. I worked so hard for what I had. But in December of 2020 God called me on a faith journey. He closed the door to the one thing that was sustaining us financially and told me to trust Him. And I’m not gonna lie, I fought it. I argued it. I denied it. But deep down I knew that’s what He was asking me to do.

So here’s where things get super vulnerable and honest. Over the past 4 years things began to be stripped away. Everything I worked for began to dwindle down financially. Debt I paid off, the luxuries we had, the comfort in knowing we were taken care of. It’s been a hard road we have walked through as a family but here is the BUT GOD MOMENT.

In the lack…God has been enough.
In the fear…God has been peace.
In the waiting…God has always come through on time.
In the silence…God has been louder.
In the chaos…God has been faithful.
In the uncertainty..God has been confirming.

God never takes away or allows the enemy to steal from you without giving back tenfold. He may not give back in finances, but the way He gives is BIGGER than any $$$ amount.

The dying of self and living in complete adoration of Him is worth way more than a job title, financial blessing, rank or accomplishments. The way God has come through for us during this difficult time has been beautiful. He’s always provided. He always supplied. And there has been miracles that have happened through this faith journey.

There are times God can’t provide a miracle if we don’t entirely need Him. But when we become desperate enough we can see His hand at work. Sometimes God has to remove things in your life so that you are desperately dependent on Him. Because in the desperation and in the dependency is where God makes himself known in you.

THIS IS A FAITH WALK!!!!!!

It’s been a rough week over here in Texas but the beautiful thing about my job is I get to work from anywhere on my phone and still bring in an income for my family! I’m learning that the #1 way to get ahead … is to just get back up.
