*A "brilliant" high school student who disappeared from his home in Melbourne this week is believed to have travelled to Sydney, police have said.*

Krishank Karthik left his Freemont Court home in Truganina to go to school about 7.30am on Monday but never made it.
He was last seen carrying extra clothes, a backpack and a suitcase.

Krishank used his Myki to catch a train from Tarneit.
He was captured on camera purchasing two donuts and withdrawing money from 7/11 at Melbourne Central.
Around an hour later, he bought food in North Melbourne.

Following an appeal on social media, the owner of a mobile phone store on Swanston Street contacted the family claiming Krishank had sold his iPhone 14 Pro that same afternoon.

Now, Victoria Police have said Krishank is believed to have attended an emergency accommodation building in Cleveland Street, Surry Hills, Sydney, just before 5am on August 6.

He was wearing a grey hoodie, black tracksuit pants, and black shoes.
Loved ones said earlier this week they were at a loss as to why the Year 11 student would up and leave.

"Honestly Krishank, two days is a living hell for mumma," his mother Shobana Karthik said.
"Please my dear child, come back, bubba. I don't know if I've hurt you in anyway but I apologise to you."

According to his family, Krishank was a high achiever at Suzanne Cory High School in Werribee.
"He's so good at his studies, he's one of the most brilliant boys in his class," Shobana said.
His mum said he would leave home as usual every single morning pretending to go to school but hadn't attended classes for the past two weeks.
She claims he logged on to the school's computer system as a parent and marked himself as absent and on holiday.
"Why did you leave?" Shobana said.
"There is nothing in this world we can't sort out, come home," Aunt Mathangi Akhilesh said.

5. 1.5 billion Naira to purchase cars for his wife Senator Oluremi Tinubu despite the fact that First Lady Office is not recognised by our Constitution?
6. 300% Salary increase for the judges, which was speedily passed by the insensitive and irresponsible senators.
7. 5 billion Naira was budgeted for the presidential fleet of cars for President Bola Ahmad Tinubu.
8. Billions of Naira were budgeted for Mr. President Trips, including the Vice President Kashim Shettima, to the detriment of the citizens.
9. Every Senator is paid 21 Million Naira Monthly.
10. House of Representatives are earning 13.5 Million Monthly all the increments were done by this government
11. 15 trillion Naira Lagos Calabar Coastal Road was awarded illegally to his friend, a Lebanese Gilbert Chagoury who was repatriated back to his country by the former President Obasanjo
12. Mr. President has the largest ministers ever in the history of Nigeria, where Mr. President sourcing money to pay them?
13. Mr. President went ahead to create another Ministry of Livestock Development.
14. What Happened to Orasanye Report of Downsizing and Merging some of the Agencies, Parastatals and Departments.
15. Where is the subsidy money that was removed on Petroleum Product and Electricity?
16. How much was saved, and what was the money used for President Bola Ahmad Tinubu? Nigerians are demanding to know?
17. The cost of governance has not reduced. Instead, it has increased massively.

9. Corruption and stealing of public funds Legalised.
10. Nepotism top on Mr. President agenda.
11. President, Vice President, Governor's Security Votes Remained Intact.
12. All the allowances paid to our leaders remained intact.
13. There is no single support a citizen of Nigeria deserves from the government.
14. Renewed hopelessness, destitution & deception.
15. Mr President Bola Ahmad Tinubu, Governor's, Ministers & Top Government Officials including the Service Chiefs, Heads of Agencies, Departments & Parastatals your Lifestyle and Extravagant spending of Public Funds does not in anyway show that President Tinubu inherited a Dilapidated Nigeria.
16. Leaders are getting richer.
17. Citizens are getting poorer.
18. Look at how President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has been transformed physically, mentally & and financially to the detriment of Nigerians.

They didn't even add the amount for Presidential jets 150 Billion Naira and the Presidential Yachat, another Billions of Naira. Haba kilode?

This trend must be arrested.

SYDNEY (AP) — Sri Lankan cricket international Danushka Gunathilaka has been found not guilty of ra**ng a woman he met on a dating site during the south Asian team’s tour of Australia last November.

Judge Sarah Huggett acquitted the 32-year-old player as he sat at Sydney’s Downing Centre District Court on Thursday listening to the decision.

Huggett found that the alleged victim, who cannot be legally named, was an intelligent witness who did not deliberately give false evidence about the use of a condom but was motivated by a desire to paint the cricketer in an unfavorable light.

“I find that the evidence regarding the complaint far from supports the complainant. Rather it undermines the reliability of her evidence,” she said.

Gunathilaka and the woman met for drinks at a bar before having pizza together in downtown Sydney and catching a ferry to the woman’s home in the city’s eastern suburbs.

The woman accused him of various acts of aggression and violence. Police initially brought four charges against the 32-year-old, who was arrested at a city hotel just hours before Sri Lankan team was due to fly out home on Nov. 6.

Prosecutors later dropped three of those charges.

Gunathilaka maintained his innocence, pleading not guilty to one count of sexual in*******se without consent.

Osun State Chief Judge, Justice Oyebola Ojo has sentenced Dr Rahman Adedoyin, owner of Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife to death by hanging.

Earlier, Justice Ojo declared that Adedoyin, owner of Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife, where Timothy Adegoke, an OAU postgraduate student was allegedly killed was culpable of murder.

Justice Ojo in her ongoing judgement said the owner of the hotel and two of his workers, based on the circumstances of the case established by the prosecuting counsel, Femi Falana, SAN, are found culpable of conspiracy to commit murder, and unlawful killing of the deceased.

Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, has been arrested and is currently being detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department, popularly known as Panti, in Lagos State, over an alleged assault on a police officer on Saturday.
