Here at Grif-fite School of Excellence Summer Music Camp, we pride ourselves in having a staff that is one of the best in Atlanta; totaling well over 30 years of experience within the music and entertainment industry. Our goal at GSE Summer Music Camp is to provide middle school age youth who are interested in music with knowledge and hands on experience in the areas of:
1. receiving text book information of how to read music and identify notes on various instruments (keyboard, strings, wood and brass, percussion)
b. establishing mathematics in music
c. developing a trained ear to hear musical scales and melodies
2. engineering and operating recording equipment. learning the process of engineering
b. learning software used within the music industry
c. learning how to make beats and
d. learning how to arrange music
e. learning how to work audio boards for recording and sound stage (analog and digital)
3. photography and videography. learning how to handle and operate industry level cameras
