Indi/Visualist An online independent art, music and lifestyle magazine for the alternatively en vogue. It was an ordinary Thursday.

The day was coming to an end, but summer's light still reflected off the Prudential. We took advantage of our time left with the somewhat warm weather and sat outside at The Lower Depths in Kenmore Square. Naturally as college students, we ordered a large plate of nachos and two beers to wash them down. We spoke and reminisced on our days spent as underclassmen and dreamed of what the hell we woul

d do with our photography degrees. It then occurred to us that the answer to this question was there all along: we needed to put our heads together and combine forces, as each other's weaknesses were our counterparts strengths. Alex Friedlander
I was born and raised on Long Island. While in the eighth grade, I solidified my love for the publishing industry when I proclaimed that my life goal was to be "Andrea Sachs" from The Devil Wears Prada. Years later, I went on to study photography and communications at the former Art Institute of Boston, now Lesley University College of Art and Design. During this time, I briefly studied magazine publishing and also interned in the photo department for both Redbook Magazine and Departures Magazine. In addition to my love for all things editorial, I also have a great affinity for pugs and a solid pair of black booties. Camilla Jerome
Born in Chicago, raised in Boston. As a teenager, a camera was put into my hands and it only felt natural to bring together my two passions: horses and photography. I went on to further my studies of photography and art history, where I met Alex on my first day at the former Art Institute of Boston, now Lesley University College of Art and Design. I focused on my family as my main subject, continuing to do so today, and am currently co-curator of Gallery South, a student run gallery. In my free time I am expanding my career as a freelance photographer where I can always be spotted in a crowd due to my height and beach blonde hair; usually in skinny jeans and my white high-tops. In fusing our two passions together, we hope to create a magazine that is as reliable, truthful, and entertaining as your best friend and as daring, talented and fashionable as you. Thank you so much for your interest in our adventure, we hope that you will come along for the ride and join us as INDI/VISUALSTs. All our best,
Alex and Camilla
