I thought it was a good idea NOT to go.

For years, I've been actively participating to most of the gatherings/reunions because it truly feels great meeting people and creating new memories - the crazy conversations, the fun games, the sumptuous foods, the unlimited group photos etc.

Fews days before our Elementary Batch Reunion, I honestly thought I'm not in my best element to be attending the get-together. I've been under the weather lately, dealing with some personal stuff and so I didn't have much interest showing up in some gatherings. I thought it's better that I keep myself busy with other things like my job and whatnot.
I told myself nobody cares whatever personal issues you have at the moment. I even told myself, people only celebrate you and your presence when you're at your best so why do I have to be there when I know I'm not okay.
I even considered keeping myself low from social media because I also realized people only see your positivity, nobody cares to understand your vulnerability.

And I don't know why, but something in me wants to give it a chance. So I decided to go to the venue clueless of what's going to happen, afraid that I might appear uncomfortable or uneasy.
But yes, I didn't regret coming. I realized some things as I head back home:
The best time to go out and meet people is when you don't feel being at your best. Keeping yourself stuck indoors won't make you feel any better. It helps when we get to reconnect with people to remind you that you're never alone. Somewhere somehow, there's a group you belong to.

And although the night has to end and I have to get back home with the same personal struggles, this reunion, especially the short conversations I had with my fellows surely made me feel better. Tonight, I was reminded that there's life outside my own life.

*The plot, the revelations are effective because it made me get mad at some annoying, self-righteous, selfish characters like Angelina and Eagan. 🤓😅😡😤🤬. So congratulations 👍👍🤓
