My personal journey to health has been a long one. I've struggled with weight for most of my adult life, especially since having children. I've tried lots of things to lose it and had some success but was never able to sustain my weight loss and keep it off. I was always trying to find the easy way, the way that involved the least amount of effort, until I realized that you only get out of it what
you are willing to put into it. I know now that there is nothing that can replace a healthy diet and regular exercise. You don't have to exercise yourself to death. You can lose weight and keep it off with as little as 30 minutes of daily effort. You don't have to cut out Mexican food and chocolate and wine and margaritas (just a few of my favorites). You just have to make healthy choices most of the time and enjoy the things you love in moderation. I found the recipe for success by trading out bad habits for healthy ones and learning to treat my body like it is a gift instead of a garbage can. I found strength I didn't know I had and my goal is to empower others to find their strength too.
