A message from Ben Houchen

For the past 7️⃣ years, hand on heart, I have done everything I said I would.

Not everyone might agree with me, but I would challenge even my harshest critic to say I don't deliver and get things done!

We have had an ambitious agenda:

✅ Saving Teesside Airport
✅ Securing NEW holiday routes
✅ Bringing BACK Steelmaking
✅ Securing the UK’s, first, largest, and most successful Freeport
✅ Creating thousands of jobs at Teesworks
✅ Securing billions of pounds of international investment from the likes of SeAH, bp, and FedEx
✅ Bringing the Treasury to Darlington
✅ Investing hundreds of millions in our railway stations.

And on this record of getting things done you can trust me when I say I will deliver on my next set of promises to you.

We must have vision and energy for our great area, not an unambitious council mentality like that held by my opponent and this is my plan for Teesside, Darlington and Hartlepool:

✈️ Keep Teesside Airport flying and secure new routes to Tenerife and Malaga
🏥 Build a new hospital that Teesside and our fantastic NHS deserve
👷🏻 Deliver jobs, jobs and more jobs for local people
🏊🏻‍♀️ Provide Free Swimming for all under 11s to support hardworking families
🚌 Cap bus travel at £1 for under 21s to connect young people to work

Oh, and of course NO Mayoral Tax for another four years 🚫💰

I have a record of delivery, this is my promise of more 💪

TIME TO SAY GOODBYE

I have run the world-famous Middlesbrough Empire for just over 30 years and in this time I have given the area some of the biggest bands/DJ’s, shows and acts on the planet and provided a clubbing experience second to none.

It has been both a privilege and an honour to do this and I would like to thank the legend Barry Faulkner Snr for giving me the opportunity to do this and my team for supporting me over this time and everyone who has ever worked there.

A massive thank you to all of you who have visited the venue during my time, we shared some unbelieve nights and I’ve made some incredible friends.

As I move on to pastures new, I wish the venue all the best for the future

This morning at 9.16am, our North East-based critical care team responded to reports of a road traffic collision in Elton, Stockton-on-Tees.

Pilot JJ flew paramedic Marcus and Dr Kris to the scene within six minutes; he landed in a nearby field, but the police were on call to close the road in case it was too waterlogged for our aircraft to land.

Once with the patient, our team performed life-saving hospital procedures by the roadside, only possible due to our experienced, doctor-led crew.

As soon as the patient was in a stable enough condition to be taken to hospital, a decision was made for Marcus and Dr Kris to accompany them to hospital in a road ambulance, where pilot JJ would meet them.

The team arrived back on base at 11.15am, and they quickly restocked the drugs and equipment used and ordered some more blood, which was dropped off by the incredible blood bikers within the hour.

All of this is only possible because of your continued support: gna.as/annualappeal2024
