Why are we so quick to express support and solidarity when there is an attack on a city in America or Europe, but when the attack takes place in a predominantly black, poor and Islamic country the response is so different? Human tragedy is abhorrent no matter how many are killed. There was rightfully support and prayers and stories shared when 59 died in Vegas this month and #IamManchester was trending in May when 23 died at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, but when 276 innocent people die in Somalia's capital... I hear nothing. No outcry. No media coverage. No social media storm. Sadly, this pattern repeats itself time and time again. I wish there was more I could to support and spread awareness, but for now... #IamMogadishu
