DownriverThings.com is a historical-based website focusing on the evolution of the southern Detroit Suburban area known as "Downriver." The site details its earliest settlements from the Fort Detroit establishment in the early 1700s, to the formation of Ecorse & Monguagon Townships per the Michigan Territory's 1827 survey. People, places and notable events from that point forward are profiled in a

chronological format. Included within are lists of specific events given their own profiles due to their notoriety, as well as a photo library with over 2,000 images. With hopes of becoming a universal area resource and desiring to be cooperatively designed, DownriverThings.com strives to become a rewarding and enriching experience for the inquisitive historical mind which seeks to learn our important story.
