A contractor will be performing pavement preservation work that will necessitate complete closure of each affected street for a 12-hour period. The contractor, Holbrook Asphalt, will be distributing flyers to affected residents and businesses prior to the start of work, explaining the preservation process and noting specific street closure schedules.
The pavement preservation treatment will significantly extend the life of asphalt streets. The benefits of using this process include reduced long-term maintenance costs, less surface damage, higher property values and a smoother and safer ride for motorists.
For additional information, please contact the Public Works Department at 865-429-4567.
