Spores, the microscopic bits of fungi that act as the mushroom’s seed, are delicate enough to get caught up in a raindrop or blown away by the faintest breeze. They’re also robust enough to exist in the harsh climate of outer space. Not to mention, each one carries the genetic information to expand into a vast network of mycelium — the largest of which is still considered
the biggest living organism on earth. Mushrooms might just be here to save us, and it’s the humble, tiny spore that’s going to do it.

This time, Denver, Colorado artist Randal Roberts blesses us with a different bend on “The Simpsons” animated show with a work that has become one of the most popular blotter art pieces of all time. “My work is the intersection of art and spirituality,” says the famed psychedelia artist. “And through blotter art, I’ve joined the ranks of the renegades.”

On top of crafting our 2023 Concentrate Issue cover, North Carolina artist Alex Dubs dives into an array of life like creatures and more. Her art form often features figures ranging from flowers to animals, but you’ll even find wonderfully woven blunts and delicately designed bowls of kief in her collection.

Tony Rinaldo’s style incorporates lively scenes with a mix of flower and other Cannabis forms. But you’ll also catch this Rome, New York resident sculpting everything from scary skulls tosweet snowmen, fun faces and “fresh” fruit.

We spoke with Dubs and Rinaldo for more insight into this fascinating field.

Our 3rd Annual Oregon Leaf Bowl!
Re-Hashed 💨🌧💨

The sweet smell of victory - or maybe it was hash and petrichor - filled the air in Southeast Portland on April 28, when the Oregon Cannabis community gathered to welcome the crowds of connoisseurs who lined up around the block for the 2024 Oregon Leaf Bowl.

Fifty companies and local artists set up booths to showcase their crafts to the gathering crowd, which packed out the event. The Leaf Bowl’s photo booth sponsor, Truth Dispensary, ensured everyone walked away with a memory, while the Hospitality Sponsor, Doghouse Farms, bought everyone a drink to wash down food from Demarco’s Sandwiches, Fat Kid Food Co., and Franko’s Hot Dogs.

Huge thanks to everyone who made it out once again to our Awards Ceremony to judge the best products Oregon has to offer! Along with all of our partners & sponsors!
