An amazing week just keeps getting better!! After having a wonderful screening at the SAFILM - San Antonio Film Festival on Saturday Night, we were just notified that BLOOD DRIED HANDS won 10 awards from the International Gold Awards in New York! We are well over 100 Awards won so far during our festival run and I cannot thank everyone enough for their support and to the wonderful festival directors, programmers and juries for their championing of our film throughout the last year! Thank you!!

Thank you La Fonda On Main for an absolutely amazing meal this evening at this historic restaurant! Mouthwatering Huitlacoche Empanadas and the Alambre Mixto made for an amazing send off for my last dinner of the weekend after attending SAFILM - San Antonio Film Festival! I wish I could stay another week!

About to start the show soon!! BLOOD DRIED HANDS’ screening at the San Antonio Film Festival will begin in the next 20-30 minutes!! I’m freaking blown away!! And this is the first time I’ve seen any film I’ve ever made printed on a ticket!!!! Thank you SAFILM - San Antonio Film Festival and Adam Rocha for this opportunity for us to screen at the Largest Film Festival in South Texas!!!

Between screenings I checked out the size of the Carlos Alvarez Theater in San Antonio that Blood Dried Hands will be screening at later tonight 9:30pm. This place is huge and has a great layout!! Love it! Also saw the brilliant character actor Tony Plana giving an interview! Thank you again so much Adam Rocha and SAFILM - San Antonio Film Festival for having us here! This is one of the greatest film festival experiences I’ve had so far!!!

The schedule has posted for BLOOD DRIED HANDS will be screening on Saturday August 3rd 2024 09:30pm at the Carlos Alvarez Theater in the Tobin Performing Arts Center right next to the Riverwalk in Downtown San Antonio, Texas!!! Come out to see our film on the big screen in one of the most beautiful venues and cities in the State of Texas! Also make sure to catch BLOODY & BRUISED, an award winning rock documentary about The Back Room in Austin by our friends Budro Partida and John Robert JewJr down the street at the Radius Center at 07:00pm on the same night!!!! There will be an hour break between both films so you’ll be able to see both!

Congrats to the Mavs on an amazing season! Sucks to lose in the Finals, but a 50 win sixth seed took down some giants along the way. The underdog didn’t have enough fight left in them to take down another wolf, but it was amazing to watch a young team scrap this far with low expectations from everyone in the league and media. Can’t wait for next year! Dallas Mavericks

Thank you to the Vegas Movie Awards for honoring our film BLOOD DRIED HANDS with wins for BEST NARRATIVE FEATURE, BEST ACTOR (Chance Gibbs), BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR (Jason Vandygriff) and BEST THRILLER as well as us scoring nominations for BEST ACTRESS (Micha Marie Stevens) and BEST DIRECTOR. That now makes 83 AWARDS our film has won during its festival run! And a SURPRISING win for me. That is the 1st Acting Award I’ve won ever! That now makes SIX different actors in Blood Dried Hands that have won individual acting awards for their performances. I can’t believe how special this ensemble cast is and I have a feeling there will be many more coming to them before our festival run is done!! Congrats to our talented cast and crew!!!

A legend died today. ROGER CORMAN, was a filmmaking icon that literally is involved in the origin story of nearly every master filmmaker from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. He gave so many directors their chance to direct a film when no one else would. MARTIN SCORSESE (Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Killers of the Flower Moon), JAMES CAMERON (Terminator, Titanic, Avatar), FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA (The Godfather I-II-III, Apocalypse Now, The Outsiders), RON HOWARD (Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind, Backdraft), JONATHAN DEMME (Silence of the Lambs, Something Wild), JOE DANTE (Gremlins, The Burbs, The Howling), PETER BOGDANAVICH (Last Picture Show, Paper Moon) and so many more. He was the original Indie Film Producer that prepared a lot of talent in the minor leagues of B and C movies so they could take over the industry in the decades to come. He changed the industry in so many ways with his innovations on what was possible with a low budget. Legend.

BLOOD DRIED HANDS will be the closing film on Saturday Night - June 22nd 2024 at 7:26pm. There will be a 20 minute Q&A following the film until 9:42pm. This may be the only time you can see our film on the big screen in the Wichita Falls area during its festival run so don’t miss out. This is a good one for all my Wichita Falls area peeps! Thank you to the Cowpokes Int’l Film Festival in Electra, Texas for making our feature film BLOOD DRIED HANDS an Official Selection to screen during this year’s festival June 21st-23rd 2024 at the historic 105 year old Grand Theatre. As the date gets closer I’ll send out the exact date and time of the screening when the festival schedule is posted. BLOOD DRIED HANDS was filmed in six different cities in Texas. Wichita Falls, Denton, Sanger, Oak Point, Harrold and we did some pickup shots in Electra as well as Cast/Crew lunches the last two days of shooting at Carlitos Mexican Restaurant there. It will be super cool to screen in Wichita County, Texas for the first time, as this is where the film takes place. It has screened in Japan, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, The United Arab Emigrates, Sweden and more. Yet it finally makes it back to little ol’ Wichita County.
