Indoor Vertical Aquaponic System Setup
Surprise! I'm about to have water flowing again in this revitalized and restored indoor aquaponic system! I bought it over a year ago from Mike, creator of FarmPod, but I decided to revamp it by creating all new PVC pocket towers, adding a waterproofed box with a latch door around the fish tank for added indoor leakage protection, as well as a Mylar backing for light reflectivity, painting and sealing the wood frame, adding mold-inhibiting paint to our drywall behind, and throwing in some lightweight pond filter media instead of the heavy clay pebbles (hydroton) in the towers. I am determined to get this thing running with water by my birthday in less than a week! It turns out the old Eco-370 adjustable water pump is dead, so as soon as I buy a new pump, water will be flowing from the fish tank to the towers again. So exciting! Soon, I'll have strawberries and cilantro and greens growing in here. A few cut-and-come-again herbs will be tested as well. Will send updates soon! 🐠🐟🌿🌱🌿
