Midia Research estimates there are now 75.9m music creators

How big is the community of musicians? Consultancy firm Midia Research has put out some estimates for that this week, and they're startlingly big – but also need a bit of explaining to understand what's being estimated.

According to Midia, there were 75.9 million 'music creators' globally at the end of 2022, as a subset of 448.5 million 'musicians'
