St George skatepark needs some love. Some of the locals are pulling together to raise funds to modernize the park. Bristol has a thriving skate and BMX scene not to mention a vast amount of other skatepark users. However, the facilities don't reflect this. If you would like to know more about the plans then check out this presentation: https://youtu.be/cCp3Uz-2we0

There is also a crowd funder where all donations will go towards making this dream a reality: https://bit.ly/3LHNeSV

You can also find out more on their website and keep up to date by following their socials. https://www.elevatebristol.org/

If you believe that Bristol's skateparks could be improved then get involved in whatever way you can. Change doesn't happen overnight but the wheels are turning and as a collective, we can make it happen.

Elevate Bristol is a project to bring a worldclass wheelpark to St george park, Bristol. Join the movement & sign up!

Hey guys, I am involved in running a FREE skateboard focused cinematography workshop in Bristol at the end of July. Applications are now open so if you know anyone aged between 14-18 with a passion for film-making and skateboarding then please let them know.

Skate2Screen is a 3-day skateboard focused cinematography workshop aimed at young people looking to develop both the practical and theoretical process of skate film production. Participants will receive camera-in-hand experience covering the full range of film production across all disciplines of skateboarding film-making from first push to final edit. It's a chance to film high-quality skateboarding on the streets of Bristol whilst learning how to best capture, edit and present your footage. The workshop is a collaborative project between Artemis Skate Company, Clockwise, Get Your Bearings and Shextreme overseen by Campus Skateparks. We believe the art of skateboard filmmaking is a transcendent skill that can provide the perfect foundation for a career in the wider film industry.

Presented by Vanguard: Bristol Street Art: in partnership with Vans.
