Amazon MGM Studios has released the trailer to its newest romantic-drama film The Idea of You, directed by Michael Showalter and starring Anne Hathaway, Nicholas Galitzine, Ella Rubin, Annie Mumolo, Reid Scott, Perry Mattfeld, Jordan Aaron Hall, Mathilda Gianopoulos, Raymond Cham Jr., Jaiden Anthony, Viktor White, and Dakota Adan.

Based upon the bestselling novel written by Robinne Lee, and produced by Gabrielle Union; The Idea of You centers on Solène (Anne Hathaway), a 40-year-old single mom who begins an unexpected romance with 24-year-old boy-band sensation Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine).

THE IDEA OF YOU will have its World Premiere at SXSW Festival on March 16th as the Closing Night Film and will launch Globally on Prime Video May 2nd

Based on the acclaimed, contemporary love story of the same name, The Idea of You centers on Solène (Anne Hathaway), a 40-year-old single mom who begins an unexpected romance with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine), the lead singer of August Moon, the hottest boy band on the planet. When Solène must step in to chaperone her teenage daughter’s trip to the Coachella Music Festival after her ex bails at the last minute, she has a chance encounter with Hayes and there is an instant, undeniable spark. About the book “Maybe Christmas will be Different”

Dierdra is a mom with five kids by four different men who were physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually abusive towards her. Once looking for love in all the wrong places, it didn’t take long for her life to spiral downward in each relationship. On top of that, she had to take a look in the mirror and face her own addiction demons. After hitting rock bottom, almost losing her kids and having every Christmas destroyed by drama, Dierdra decides to give romantic relationships a rest while she gets her life together. Now, she’s back up on her feet after four years of focus and hard work. Dierdra is hoping and praying for the holiday season to be different for her and her kids this time.
