GM keeps missing the mark and continues to fall behind on EVs. I'm fine with them making PHEVs but they keep thrashing around and getting nowhere. In 2023 they were going to hit the market big with the Blazer EV and the Equinox EV. It appears that both models are on hold due to glitching EV software.

How???? They had reasonable software in the 2017 Bolt EV. Now some 7 years later - it is worse? Of course they killed, revived and now limited again the Bolt EV. Do they have no vision?

Other companies like VW, Mercedes and Kia/Hyundai/Genesis are putting out more and more models each year - and - they work. In 2024 GM will now struggle to get to 6th or 7th place in the US unit sales as this part of the car market is expecting to grow buy 30%.

GM was at least 5 years behind Tesla in 2017. 7 years later they may only be 4 years behind.

This change marks a departure from GM's earlier position, notably in 2018, when the GM's President, Mark Reuss, declared that GM would not invest in hybrids.

I received an email from a service provider that informed me that they have changed their payment portal. I checked the old URL and it did not work.

I called the phone number in the email and they said the portal moved to a new URL. They were going to tell me the URL so, I could type it into my web browser. I told them there was no way in hell I was going to type in a new unknown URL.

I called my regular contact and learned that they had in fact change their method of collecting payment. However, there was no way for me to know that it was not fishing.

Please be careful and always double check before you give out any information or go to a new website.

Many news sources have posted articles about the trouble with USA EV sales. Year over year the growth was 46%. That sounds pretty good to me!

FYI... Sales are expected to be even more worser in 2024 - going up "only" 36%.

Today I had someone say, "I won't buy an EV because you have to buy a new battery every 2 years." This is flat out false!
Facts...Available data suggests that most EV batteries will last much more than 200,000 miles. Also, The average lifespan of a gasoline care is 133k miles.
