Good Morning 🌞

I posted this picture yesterday morning. Now today, as I am going into my study of The Power of God‘s Names by Tony Evans. This butterfly has a whole new meaning . I would like to share a story that Tony included in his book.

A young boy had discovered a cocoon in his backyard. He was quite interested in this cocoon, and as he was looking at it, he wasn’t sure if it was alive or not. A few days later, he was checking it out again. Then all of a sudden inside he saw movement, a newly formed Butterfly was struggling. He realized there was life. He was so excited for this tiny little butterfly, that he decided to help this struggling butterfly. The little boy took a pocket knife out, and he began to enlarge that hole. Awe so helpful. At this time it made me think, what a helpful little boy.

 I am sure he thought that poor little butterfly is so exhausted and I need to help. But what the little boy did, without realizinging it, was that the butterfly needed to go through th struggle. It was a necessity to life. He did not know that that struggle is what would strengthen the butterflies muscles and prepare the butterfly for flight.

 The little boy had inadvertently doomed the butterfly.

 As I was doing the study this morning, and the study is on the power of God’s names.  and today I was studying Jehovah Rapha -The Lord who Heals. It made me wonder if I was hindering some peoples healing.

 Let me explain, and you may find that you have done this too. When we see a family member or a friend that is struggling, what is the first thing you do? Most of the times I find that I start searching for a way to help. Can I give them money to get out of a bind they put themself in, or should I just pray for them? if you’re like me, you do both. Now I’m not saying this is a bad thing, but I am saying the lesson I learned this morning is God has a plan.

 Sometimes we may need to stop and just look at what someone’s going through and ask ourselves, is this God working in their life to give them the strength that they need to take flight. None of us will get where we’re going, without struggles, without trials, or without test, in our life . But I realize I can be like that little boy that thought he was helping the butterfly get out of that tight space and ease the struggle. Sometimes I think I am the one that can fix everything. Today I realize I have weakened the wings of some peoples growth or a prolonged their flight .

 Today I realize God’s plan is best, and if a person’s going through a test, as hard as it may be, they have to endure the test. I will, of course always listen to God, and if he instructs me to intervene, I will. I had to repent for some of the times that I know I messed up God‘s beautiful plan. You see, I was taking over God‘s position and trying to help, when God‘s plan was already in place.

 I hope this helps you to go to God in prayer when you see a need, and listen to what he tells you to do. I never want to cause someone to be weakened when God is trying to give them strength. 

If you are out there struggling, just know that God is with you and he is trying to make you stronger. It could be in your faith. It could be in your finances. It could be in you need to turn your life around. Only you know what you’re going through, and only you know if you’re willing to let God strengthen you. 

God Bless You that is struggling and God Bless you that has the desire to help.
Be still and know that he is God.
