Black, Brown and Digital ( ) is an immersive online/ onsite event that brings content creators of color, and business’ together for a discussion about diversity in new media. Each year we explore a new theme with our content creators and screen their work. is a DOPE ASS party; merging cutting edge digital art, music and food for a night of building community between artist of

color and powerhouse business professionals.

is the brainchild of Empress Varnado and Darren Mallett of Michelle Materre’s Creatively Speaking Film Series along with Jasmin Goodman, founder of Project Blaq. The event premiered as part of New York’s Internet Week 2013 at MIST Harlem.
