This gentleman Brian Dunleavy was a great friend of mine and a great son of Ireland in Detroit. Rest in Peace my friend.

Brian Dunleavy came from a family of bar owners and was known for his charitable work in Detroit's Irish community.

It's with a heavy heart I say goodbye to my dear friend Michael Farrell. Our East Durham family and beyond are in mourning. Susanna & I were married on June 24, 1994 and Mike and Jeanne were married the day after ours on June 25, 1994. I was honored they asked my Band play their wedding that took place at The Inn at Leads. We've been close friends with the the Farrells ever since. Michael is an example of how precious this life is and not to measure life by how much you love but by how much you are loved and Michael you were loved by so many Rest in Peace my friend . Your legacy will live on forever.

Today NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller will be laid to rest. He is from my hometown just a few short blocks from me in Massapequa Park. I went to the Memorial Service on Wednesday evening at Brady Park and wake on Thursday. Our streets are lined with American Flags and thousands of Police are pouring onto Merrick Rd in front of the Church I grew up in, St Rose of Lima. Brian Kilmeade from Fox News is from Massapequa as well and grew up in St Rose Parish is doing an honorable job representing our community to the Nation and beyond. I am so sadden by this loss but also so proud of my community how we all became one over these few days. Let us not forget our heros of the NYPD and police all over that kiss their spouse and children in the morning to go to protect us not knowing if they will come home.

Hi Friends, our campaign to Help Keep the Tradition Alive and save an iconic hotel property in the Irish Alps has closed out its first week with over $33,000 in donations!!! This is a fantastic start. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts all who stepped up and contributed, to date.

If we are able to get to $500,000, this gets real. Seamus and I have heard from people that want to invest and are waiting to see where our campaign is in a month’s time. I have meetings organized after Easter as well, all in furtherance of these tremendous efforts, and results.

All donations are appreciated more than you know. Keep in mind: donations of $500 or more will be treated as a credit towards your stay at this historic, beloved resort should we succeed.

I heard from some of you concerning the Help Keep The Tradition Alive GoFundMe campaign. You asked about the gratuity the GoFundMe campaign is looking for when you make your donation. It's the way they make money as they don't take a percentage of the donations. The default setting is 20%. When you click on it, you'll see you can tip them $1, $5, $10 or what ever you want or not tip at all.
