Legoland Shanghai has started construction on their B&M Family Inverted Coaster! The ride will be one of the major attractions at the park, with a large Minifigure holding up part of the track! The new park is moving quickly with construction and is planned to open Summer 2025!

Lost Island Theme Park has announced Fire Runner, a new RMC Raptor coming to the park in 2025!

Featuring the standard smaller layout, this intense thrill coaster flips riders upsidedown 3 times, has a top speed of 52mph, and has 1950ft of track!

We think this is a fantastic fit for the park and cannot wait to see how it looks next year!

Happy International Rollercoaster Day from Coasterhub!

Here is a special update from Intamin on the progress of Falcon's Flight and Spitfire at Six Flags Qiddiya to celebrate today! Falcon's Flight and Spitfire stand tall over the park, as each ride features record breaking elements!

Slated to open next year, Falcon's Flight will be the world's tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster; and Spitfire will feature the tallest inversion on any coaster with an inverted top hat over 200ft tall! We can't wait to see these massive rides start testing and open!

Six Flags New England has announced Quantum Accelerator, New England's first double launched Straddle Coaster! Opening next year, Quantum Accelerator is a new Intamin multi-launch family coaster that will launch riders at speeds of up to 45mph through 2,604ft of track with 11 airtime moments! Featuring straddle seating, this ride allows riders to lean forward and grab handlebars giving the feeling of riding on a motorbike! Quantum Accelerator will be built in the spot of Goliath, the former Vekoma Giant Inverted Boomerang that used to operate at the park and will revitalize the Crackaxle Canyon area. Are you ready to launch through space and time on Quantum Accelerator in 2025?

Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois has announced Wrath of Rakshasa, the world's steepest and most-inverting Dive Coaster! Opening next year, this new B&M Dive Coaster features a beyond vertical 96 degree first drop and 5 inversions! Riders will sit in 7-across floorless seats and experience heights of up to 180ft and speeds of up to 67mph! Wrath of Rakshasa will be replacing Buccaneer Battle and will not be impacting Demon at all which is great! Are you ready to feel the Wrath of Rakshasa in 2025?

We think this looks like an incredible addition for the park and hope to ride it next year! We absolutely love how relentless the last 3 inversions look!

Top Thrill 2 still remains closed this week as parkgoers have noticed workers removing seats from the silver train and bolting weights to the train for what we assume is further testing.

This process has been going on for a little bit, as seats & weights have been consistently removed and added to the trains for weeks now. This is definitely an interesting development, and we are intrigued as to what changes might happen when the ride reopens.

I soooooo wish I knew what was going on with it lol, it seems like such an interesting engineering problem to fix!

Six Flags Great Adventure and Six Flags Over Georgia have both officially postponed their 2024 additions to 2025. The park's are building Flash Vertical Velocity, a Vekoma Super Boomerang, and Georgia Surfer, the world's first Intamin Ultra Surf! Both rides have had their trackwork completed, but neither have completed stations, electrical work, or trains on the track.

The park's states "When it comes to delivering fun and safe attractions, we won't rush the construction process. That means we're moving the official opening of [insert attraction name] at Six Flags [insert park name] to 2025."

Disney has shown off more concept art of the brand new Cars themed expansion coming to Magic Kingdom! Based off this art, it looks like this area will be replacing the Tom Sawyer's Island and Rivers of America areas of the park and will include a major ride similar to Radiator Springs Racers in California, but with an off-roading theme. It is unknown when this project is supposed to open, but we are super excited to see it be built as Radiator Springs Racers is one of our favorite Disney rides!

Disney's Magic Kingdom has announced they will be building a new Villains Land! Not much was disclosed about the land, but it is supposed to feature two major attractions. One of which, depicted in the concept art, is some form of roller coaster! The art depicts some form of (lets be real, Vekoma) rollercoaster winding through caves and caverns of stunning rockwork and waterfalls!

We have been hoping for a villain themed land for a long time, and we are ecstatic that this is finally happening!

Spiderman scores big at Shanghai Disney and Hong Kong Disney, with both parks announcing thrilling new rides themed to the hero!

Shanghai Disneyland is building a new Double Launch Vekoma Family Launch Coaster! The ride did not have many details disclosed, but previously found plans indicate the ride will feature both a forwards and backwards section!

Hong Kong Disneyland also announced a new Spiderman ride. Tony Stark and new intern Peter Parker eagerly show off new inventions to riders, but are interrupted by one of Spiderman's greatest villains. The riders are stuck in between a battle of the ages, and will experience a thrilling ride sequence! Although not much of the actual ride has been described, we believe these vehicles shown look similar to Tower of Terror or Guardians of the Galaxy drop pods, and are hoping that this will be an exciting drop tower ride!

Both of these rides seem to be star attractions for the park, and we cannot wait to see how they turn out! What would a ride themed to Spiderman be like for you?

Disney's Magic Kingdom has announced that they will be building a Cars Land extension to Frontierland! This new area will have two themed attractions, one of which will take riders on a thrilling rally race through the mountains, past geysers, and splashing through mudholes. Radiator Springs Racers is one of our favorite Disney attractions ever and we are so excited to see something similar to the Florida resort!

Disney's Animal Kingdom has given us a better look at the new Indiana Jones ride, as well as announced a new Encanto ride, coming to the park! The rides will be part of a new area named Tropical Americas, which will be taking the place of Dinoland USA. They stated that Dinoland USA will begin to close in phases during the fall of this year.

Indiana Jones will feature a brand new storyline based in a Mayan temple, where riders will encounter a mythical creature and explore deep into the ruins.

Disneyland's California Adventure rounds out their night with the announcement of two other new dark rides coming to the park - Avengers: Infinity Defense and a Coco boat ride!

Avengers: Infinity Defense is the main E-ticket ride for the Avengers Campus area! Technology which allows Avengers to hop between worlds has been stolen by Thanos, who is causing havoc everywhere. Riders will visit worlds such as Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City as they try to stop Thanos. The ride will be a trackless dark ride and hopefully feature some of Disney's most modern special effects yet!

They also announced a Coco themed ride, which is expected to break ground in 2026! Not much of the ride was announced, but concept art depicts a boat ride that interacts with animatronics of the entire skeletal cast.

We are super excited to see so much effort being put in to Disney's California Adventure in the next few years!

Disneyland Paris has announced a new Lion King flume ride! Riders will float through the caverns beneath Pride Rock as they watch Simba's journey from cub to king, culminating in a large drop down a rushing waterfall! The ride will be part of a new land coming to the park, named Pride Land, which is dedicated to the movie.

We did not expect this, and are really intruiged to see how this will turn out! Would you have preferred Splash Mountain to be rethemed to The Lion King, or are you happy with Tianna's?

Disneyland's California Adventure continues is major night at D23 with the announcement of a new Avatar Land coming to the park! Inspired by the new Avatar: The Way of Water movie, the area's main attraction will be an immersive boat ride that brings all the beauty - and danger - that can only be found in Pandora!

Shanghai Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean looks to be one of the best dark rides ever, and we are super excited to see how one themed to Avatar will be!

Disneyland's California Adventure has announced Stark Flight Lab! This new attraction coming to Avengers Campus gives riders the chance to experience test flights with their favorite Marvel Superheros! The ride consists of multiple robotic arms that will turn, twist, and flip riders around! We are super excited to see another robotic arm built and can't wait to see the final product!

Disney's Hollywood Studios has announced a new Monsters Inc. themed land! The main attraction will be a Vekoma Suspended Family Coaster where riders whisk along the track flying amongst doors in the Monsters Inc. Factory!

AlpenFury, the new massive launch coaster coming to Canada's Wonderland, has 9 crazy inversions! The ride is Canada's tallest, fastest, longest launch coaster! It also has the most inversions in Canada and ties the record for most inversions in North America!

Made by Premier Rides, this coaster launches riders up 164ft (50m) and out of Wonder Mountain at a top speed of 71mp (115kph)! Throughout the rides 3280ft (1km) of track there are multiple new & unique inversions, such as "The Fire Serpent Roll", "The Skyflyer Loop", and the "Ice Winder Roll".

This is one of the most unique rides we have seen in a long time, and we are surely impressed! We cannot wait to see this ride take shape and open in 2025!

Carowinds has announced Snoopy's Racing Railway and Charlie Brown's River Raft Blast - coming to the park in 2025! Snoopy's Racing Railway is an ART Engineering multilaunch kid coaster, featuring two separate launches and a layout packed with small dips and turns. We had the chance to ride the original version of this in Austria last month and we had a great time on it! It's one of the best kid coastersout there, and we are excited to see Carowinds get one!

Falcon's Flight at Six Flags Qiddiya will be the world's tallest, fastest, and longest coaster when it opens! Located outside of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this massive Intamin multi-launch lsm coaster will max out at over 600ft tall, hit speeds of 155mph, and fly over 13,000+ ft of track!

Construction of the rides' layout is almost done as track is slowly but surely added alongside the cliff. This ride is mind blowing to see nearly done, and it absolutely dwarves the wooden coaster right infront of it!

VidantaWorld in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico has shown off some more concept art for their brand new BON Luxury Theme Park! Situated near Puerto Vallarta, this resort complex will feature attractions and entertainment for all types of tourists! Featuring multiple coasters and rides, mostly from Vekoma, this park is sure to be a new destination for enthusiasts!

Featured in the concept art is Toca Tambo Falls, the world's first Vekoma interactive Beat-It water ride, which will allow riders to race other boats and compete in musical challenges! Speed of Light, is a clone of Phoenix at Deno's Wonder Wheel Park. Ashara: Goddess of Fire, is a Vekoma Switchback Mine Train features forwards and backwards sections with lots of theming! Delia's Adventure is a Vekoma RollerSkater, and the currently unnamed Mack Powered Inverted Coaster is rumored to be a clone of Arthur.

We can't wait to see this park completed and hope to visit soon as they are also expected to get a big Vekoma launch coaster as well!

Six Flags Great Adventure & Six Flags Magic Mountain have recently sent out surveys to season passholders depicting potential new additions to the park's! The concepts shown are all very similar to the ones shown to passholders from Kings Island & Carowinds a couple months ago.

Most notably, Six Flags Great Adventure showed a concept of the world's tallest and fastest spinning coaster! The coaster launches riders through the world's only upsidedown launch, and up a 400ft tall tower!

Six Flags Magic Mountain proposed the idea of the world's first Giga B&M Dive! With an incredible height of 300ft tall, the ride would have multiple inversions and one of the largest drops in the world!

Kings Island has published a survey for pass holders, which show a potential Vortex replacement!

According to this survey, the long-awaited replacement for Vortex, the park's classic Arrow looping coaster, could be a massive extension to The Beast! Dubbed The Beast 2.0, this extension would add 2640ft to the existing layout, solidifying it as the longest wooden coaster on Earth at 10,000 ft long! This addition would feature a third lift hill with a 184 ft drop, the tallest on any wooden coaster, that will send riders down at speeds of up to 74 mph, making The Beast the longest and fastest wooden coaster in the world!

This is certainly a unique idea for Vortex's plot and it is unknown what manufacturer(s) would work on this or what year this would be planned for.

Cedar Point has just announced that Snake River Falls will be closing this Labor Day, September 2nd, 2024. This Arrow Dynamics Shoot the Chutes opened in 1993 as the world's tallest and fastest water ride! Although it is always sad to see a ride go, we cannot wait to see what the park has in store for this plot of land!

SeaWorld San Diego was recently ordered to temporarily close down four food locations, including their world-famous Dine with Orcas experience and large Shipwreck Reef Cafe after county health officials due to "vermin infestations".

All restaurants have since reopened after successfully removing said vermin.

Kings Dominion leaks the name for their new for 2025 B&M Wing Coaster - Rapterra! As found in Facebook Advertisements the park posted, Rapterra will be the world's tallest and longest Launched Wing Coaster, featuring a height of at least 140ft (40m), and a length of at least 3035ft (925m) long! The ride will officially be announced tomorrow, and we cannot wait to see what the full layout looks like!

has leaked a new set of public documents depicting a new Intamin Straddle Coaster* going to Six Flags New England! This family launched coaster will most likely feature two launches, multiple high banked turns, and some great transitions to thrill everyone in the family!

This would be the parks only launch coaster, and we are super excited for it! The first planning meeting for the ride takes place on Thursday. What other parks desperately need a launch coaster?

Maurer Rides have shown off two concept layouts for their new Spike ASM Coaster! This model takes the unique abilities of the Spike Coaster and extends the technology onto a full trains length of cars.

The largest of the two layouts is the Spike Giant-8 Loop, where the long awaited Figure 8 Loop serves as the standout element of the ride! The ride stands 98ft (30m) tall, has a top speed of 37mph (60kph), and 1066ft of track. It features multiple different inversions, such as the aforementioned Figure 8 Loop, launches up to 1g of acceleration, and a capacity of 800pph!

The 2nd shown layout is the KrakeX, a smaller 59ft (18m) tall, 28mph (45kph), and 738ft (225m) long coaster that takes you up and down a vertical tophat, through some tight turns, and over a couple airtime hills! If a park wanted to, the tophat could be converted into an Inverted Tophat, or the ride could run multiple cycles, including forwards and backwards!

Although the company has struggled to get the Spike model off the ground, we are hopeful this higher capacity alternative might convince park's to try out this new technology! Are there any parks you would like to see build the first Spike ASM Coaster?

Universal Epic Universe in Orlando Florida is really starting to look like a full park! Construction is still moving at a decent pace as theming and trees are added, and buildings are getting painted throughout the park! The park's entrance looks fantastic, and we love the look down the Celestial Park hub! Our excitement grows each day for this park and we truly can't wait until it opens in 2025!

Construction of Six Flags Qiddiya continues at a steady pace, with the majority of Falcon's Flight being constructed and multiple other attractions we'll underway as well! You are able to see a completed track for Colossus, the park's GCI Wooden Coaster, and a fully built Zamperla (most likely) Giga Discovery! Also of note is Spitfire's tophat on the left, which will open as the tallest inversion in the world! This Intamin Swing Launch LSM coaster has an inverted tophat that stands at 239.5ft (73m) tall, and the ride will hit 79mph (127kph)!

Although there is clearly still a long way to go with the park, it's amazing watching it slowly come together!

Nemesis Reborn at Alton Towers is a fantastic renovation of the beloved classic - Nemesis! Featuring a retracked layout, new colors, more theming, and a rerouted queue, the new ride looks fresh & new while still having the intense bite of the old one. A dragon has started flying around Universal's Epic Universe! It is clear that the dragon in question will have functioning wings, and will be a spectacle to see when in the How to Train a Drragon section of the park! Top Thrill 2 at Cedar Point has started testing for a third time! The world's tallest and fastest triple launch coaster has been closed since mid May of this season due to a variety of unconfirmed reasons. The park is expected to give a small update about the ride at an IAAPA event on July 31st, but it is still unknown if the ride will be opening again this season. Kings Dominion has officially announced Rapterra - the world's tallest and longest launched wing coaster! This new-for-2025 B&M Wing Coaster stands 145ft (44m) tall, has a top speed of 65mph (105kph), and flys through 3086ft (940m) of track! The ride has 3 inversions, a dive loop, a flatspin corkscrew, and a long inline twist at the end. It will also soar over and around multiple pathways giving guests off ride some incredible views of the new coaster! Rapterra is the tallest and fastest coaster Kings Dominion has received since the opening of Intimidator 305 back in 2010! Swarm at Thorpe Park is one of the original few B&M Wing Coasters, and we absolutely loved it! The ride was more intense than we expected it to be, and we found the pacing to be particularly good for a Wing Coaster. Frontier has announced Planet Coaster 2! The long awaited sequel to Planet Coaster is meant to come out later this year, and improve upon many aspects of the original game! The game will include multiple new rides, such as a B&M Surf Coaster, a Zamperla Gryphon, and a completely new Waterpark expansion! The video shows body slides, drop capsule slides, pools, and more! The game is also going to have a Co-op feature, where players can share a single file and collaborate on a single park! The first glimpse of official gameplay will be on July 31st, and we cannot wait to see what is in store! Will you be playing Planet Coaster 2 when it is released?

Voltron Nevera at Europa Park blew us away! This Mack Rides Stryker Coaster has one of our favorite layouts ever, with multiple unique inversions and some killer airtime! The beyond vertical launch and first two inversions were so cool to experience, and really start the ride off with a bang! Our favorite parts of the ride were probably the hill after the stall & the wave turn, both providing some incredibly strong ejector. Combine it all together, and this ride easily cemented itself in my top 10! What was your most recent addition to your Top 10?

Chaos erupts at Six Flags Over Texas after Roaring Rapids rafts jam near the end of the ride. One raft in particular gets wedged into a position where the raft is taking in water, causing riders to panic and jump in to the stream. Fortunately it seems that nobody was injured, but things could've ended much worse. Now I've never been trained on a Rapids Ride before, so I may be completely wrong here, but I do not thinking jumping off was the correct solution, nor do I think the crew seemed adequately prepared to handle the situation. The lady showing up with the life rings after everyone is out of the water already?? Let's be a little serious here... Either way, at the end of the day, it is a relief to see everyone emerged unharmed. VC: Jeff Erson via TikTok

Lunapark Malta, located 20 minutes outside of Valleta, has some of the craziest flat rides we have ever been on! The star of the show is their Pirate Ship, with "Never in America" cages at each end of the ship! With no restraint other than your own grip, and the steel cage around you, you're able to jump around, bounce off the sides, and get some of the craziest airtime (in a literal sense) ever! Although the full fair isn't huge, their rides really do pack a punch! Revolution, their top spin, ran an intense cycle that flipped us 43 times! (Yes, we counted!) Each ride we rode impressed us and we had an absolute blast. There was an unexpected +1 with a Wacky Worm showing up this year, making the night even better. If you ever find yourself in Malta during the fairs runtime, it is a must-do! Would you ride in the Pirate Ship cage?

Camels on the Loose!

The camels at Cedar Point got loose 😂 everything was quickly solved and nobody nor the camels were harmed!

Six Flags Great Escape has officially opened Bobcat, the park's new Gravity Group Family Wooden Coaster! This cute coaster stands 55ft (16.8m) tall, goes 40mph (64kph) and has multiple sharp airtime hills! This is the first coaster the park has added in many years, and we think it's a great fit for them! Have you been on a tiny Gravity Group before? VC: Six Flags Great Escape

Top Thrill 2 at Cedar Point has started testing again! The ride has been closed for just about 2 and a half weeks due to an undisclosed mechanical issue. Although the issue was not confirmed, photos from the new Ryan the Ride Mechanic video show the train equipped with new, reinforced wheel carriers. Six Flags Great Adventure has released an animated pov for The Flash: Vertical Velocity! This @vekoma.rides.manufacturing Super Boomerang stands over 170ft tall, has 4 inversions, two vertical spikes, and multiple airtime moments! Hyperia at Thorpe Park First Test Run!

Hyperia at Thorpe Park has started testing! This huge, 236ft (72) tall Mack Hyper coaster will be the UK's tallest coaster! Featuring two crazy new inversions and multiple moments of ejector, we think this ride already looks pretty intense! Minifigure Speedway, located at Legoland Windsor, has recently opened to the public! This Zierer family boomerang coaster has two sides that race & duel eachother throughout the ride! The ride features some surprisingly intense turns, and we are super impressed at the final product! What park would you like to build another one of these family boomerangs?
