Best wishes for your Christmas
Is all you get from me
Cause I ain’t no Santa Claus
Don’t own no Christmas tree
But if wishes was health and money
I’d fill your buckskin poke
Your doctor would go hungry
An you never would be broke
-Charlie Russell

Removed from YouTube, available here.

Editors note: I posted an edited version of this podcast on YouTube where I had removed anything that I thought that those Nazi’s would have a problem with, unfortunately I missed a part of the video where problems with the Covid vaccine were mentioned. The video was removed and the Lonesome Lands...

Here is a link to the missing 3 minutes that I believe got the video removed from YouTube. Pretty interesting to see what they desperately don't want you to hear. And Shad nails it when he says its got the commies all upset.

Jack Payne’s market report and an important message for producers and consumers of cattle and beef.

Feeder Sale, Friday December 6th.

A new record for NLM not on the number of cattle consigned but on the number of consignors. 6200 head from 177 customers.
It's the small producers that make or break a salebarn and also they are the ones that drive the economy in Rural America. Every time the boots-in-suits dream up a new mandate to impose on the cattle industry like Mandatory Electronic Animal ID, they should consider the effect it will have on the small producers. At NLM we work for all producers big and small and I can't tell you how rewarding it is to gain the support of the grassroots producers across Nevada, Idaho, Oregon, Utah and California. When I came to Nevada and started Nevada Livestock Marketing almost 20 years ago I was told Nevada was an "export only" state. I asked the simple question Why? Why do Nevada cattle have to be exported to surrounding states to create tax revenue in Idaho, Oregon, California etc? Why can't those tax dollars be turning over locally? Here we are 20 years later not only selling a lot of Nevada cattle but because of a strong market and treating customers the way we would want to be treated, we are importing thousands of top quality cattle from surrounding states. We cannot say enough about how proud we are that customers put their faith in Nevada Livestock Marketing to market their entire annual income worth of livestock.
The Trump bump in the cattle market is for real. Ranchers and feeders are feeling much more optimistic about the future of the beef business. Americans are becoming more health conscious and more of us are starting to realize what ultra processed food is doing to our bodies. There is nothing healthier than beef and the carnivore diet is exploding in America and globaly. I anticipate beef demand continuing upward. Combine that with slowed imports its hard telling how high cattle could get. I really hope the Trump administration realizes the strangle hold the Big Four, USDA and NCBA has had on the small mom and pop packing plants across America. I hope the farm to table beef business explodes. Absolutely no reason for yearlings to go to Nebraska to be fattened and shipped back to California to the consumers. They have had their strangle hold on us for long enough. Exciting times ahead in the cattle business. I expect bred cows, pairs and replacement heifers to get crazy high especially if the new administration starts letting us graze these decadent, wolf plant infested western pastures again. I know it's hard to think about fires right now, but these bloated bureaucratic government agencies are slower than molasses so you need to be camping on your local BLM office to get some kind of intense targeted grazing plan on your ranch. History shows the big catastrophic fire years are always following a good feed year. We have had 2 record feed/fuel years and the summer of 2025 could be nothing but black and smoke if we don't do something now. Unfortunately, because of unprofitability and crushing government policies there isn't enough cattle left in the west to make a dent in the fuel loads.
Next feeder Sale December 20th, already some nice sets of calves and yearlings consigned. Expecting 3000 to 4000 head. Hope to see you at Nevada Livestock Marketing soon. Thanks everyone for another great sale, and thank you to our crew that always pulls through for us.
