It is with deep sadness that we share the news of Kelly Mixer’s passing. Kelly was not only a talented journalist and editor—serving as the managing editor of Queen Creek Sun Times and CITYSunTimes—but also a passionate advocate for numerous causes, especially animal rescues. Her compassion, kindness, and laughter touched everyone she met, leaving a lasting legacy in both her professional and personal life.

Kelly was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and colleague. Her dedication to her work and community was unmatched, and her generosity will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Friends for Life Animal Rescue (azfriends.org).

We are deeply grateful to have known Kelly and extend our condolences to her loved ones. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
