Soo what happen in the SEA Games 32nd - Valorant?

Team Singapore has used a camera on top in site A in map Split (shown in the pic below) that cause a massive technical pause for over 6-7 hours plus. The camera is claimed to be an exploit bug by Team Indonesia giving Team Singapore the advance. We can also see a similar that is been used a lot in the VCT NA but there seems to be no problem with this camera. We know that SEA Games 32nd - Valorant use a different rulebook from VCT23.

In the final decision of what to do this this long ass tech pause. The committee considered this as a light bug and the match needed to continue.

Team Indonesia has given every single good deal offered to them regarding what happen but they still decline and only wanted Team Singapore to be DQ.

The organizer offered a roll back where the current score was 10-4 will roll back to 5-5 which gives Team Indonesia one extra round. Team Singapore has agreed to this offer but Team Indonesia (not the players but the management teams) doesn't which causes more problems.

Staff was send home around 2:30 AM

But I'm pretty sure they kept the player there in the avenue until 4 AM.

Around 4:30 AM, there was an emergency announcement for the production team to standby for the match to be restart at 8:00AM after meeting with the ITO.

Total sleep time so far is: 1-2 hours

Team Indonesia won't accept the remake also and only wanted the Gold Medal. After the issues haven't been resolve for quite some time, Team Indonesia decided to forfeit the match making it pressuring for the organizing committee to work. The ITO, NOC, SEAGF, and CAMSOC have reached into conclusion that both teams will have joint gold medals.

Result is:

🥇 Team Indonesia 🇮🇩
🥉 Team Philippines 🇵🇭
🥉 Team Vietnam 🇻🇳
5th Team Cambodia 🇰🇭
6th Team Malaysia 🇲🇾

Coming into this tournament, we know it isn't going to be easy. With no VCT experience and allowed in big international tournaments, we still gave a good effort. The fights we put up have shown that our country is not a country that can be looked down on. I'm so proud of each and every one of our country's representative players, and I know we can be better and a force to be reckoned with in regional tournaments. 👊

It's okay boys! Sh*ts happened we will learn from our mistakes and be better! I know we can! 🫂

My only wish as I'm one of our country's community leads is for Riot Games to recognize us and give us a chance/slot to participate in the Valorant Champions Tour League. Our country has been in the shadow of all competition for so long and now I think that we have proven that we are ready to fight.

⁉️ FAQ:
🎬 Is there any live audience place to watch the tournament?
>> Yes, but it's in a “watch party” style kind of thing. This means that you will be watching the matches in front of a screen instead of sitting in front of the players. Basically like Road to SEA Games. You can have a clearer look from the picture below. (Pic Source: Me)

🎫 Is it free entry?
>> Yes, it’s free entry for everyone but you will need a ticket to enter. I believe for Valorant watch party it won’t be as strict as at Naga.

👀 Can I meet the players and casters?
>> You need to wait for them to walk out from the stage area to the watch party area.
>> If they feel like walking out from their waiting room then you will definitely spot them.
>> At the end of the day.

- The Top 4 teams will advance to the Final Stage
- The group could be drawn on the 5th of May (If VIRESA doesn't change the date)

👉 The Final Stage will consist of 4 teams. Most likely BO3.. 3rd place for the bronze medal award.

🔸 Note: This event is supported by Riot Games. I'm hoping that some sort of API will be implemented, like VCT.

That’s a wrap for ROAD TO SEAGAMES 32ND. ✌️These whole 2 weeks have been an emotional rollercoaster for me. Losing a lot of sleep, stress, tiredness, school, and dealing with my own personal problem. But in the end, I manage to cope with it and get through it. I’m happy that everything works out as smoothly until the end. 🫂

Thank you to E-Sports Federation Cambodia and T.Y Media for supporting the Valorant community. 🤍 With your support, we could build a stronger structure for all the players, teams, and of course all viewers/supporters out there.
