What if:
The stories of Captain Nemo and his marvelous submersible were NOT entirely fiction, but edited accounts of eyewitnesses ?
The island was NOT destroyed , though Prince Dakkar (Nemo) died and his undamaged submarine sank but did not flood?
Nemo’s hatred of those who killed his wife and children (except for his youngest son) cooled over the years ?
Nautilus had cold fusion power and Artificial Intelligence , and got lonely and strange being alone for so long?
Only someone with enough of his DNA could wake the ship?
