Want your business to be the top-listed Media Company?
Pamela Polston and Paula Routly never planned to start a business. The two arts editors launched Burlington-based newsweekly Seven Days in 1995 after their former paper was sold out from under them. They began with a staff of six and a circulation of 12,000.
They believed Vermonters were ready for a smart, edgy and locally owned alternative to the mainstream media, and their instincts proved to be right. Twenty-two years later, their company employs more than 60 people who produce seven print publications, as well as numerous events, newsletters and a weekly web video series that’s racked up millions of views on YouTube.
With a print circulation of 36,000 copies a week — and a substantial digital readership — Seven Days has become an essential source for Vermont news, views and culture.
