I can't say it's the first fanart that's been done for me, but it IS the first that's been done OF me! This is so cute and I love my flower crown. Come and see me at the Pixel and Pen booth, with all the Line by Lion Publications signs. I'll have more of my books I can sign for you, and many others to introduce you to as well!

Join me and other surprise guests at the Kentucky Highland Renaissance Festival, starting this weekend, where I'll have copies of The Incredible Adventures of Absolutely Normal and more than 50 other books from around the world. Pixel and Pen is hosting Line by Lion Publications in a big orange tent just behind the King's Feast, overlooking the King's Stage near Michaela's Tavern.

Come see us for signed copies of our novels and to chat about what's coming next!

You may even get to see Zeek Elmshade, who features in my book and is able to help poor Albert find his way in a magical world he's supposed to save.

This Wednesday is International Women's Day. "International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women."

Did you know that Pixel & Pen Studios, and many of the groups we work with, are women-owned and women-run? Line by Lion Publications, our book publishing division, is an international small-press owned and run by Amanda Rotach Lamkin, Author.

She and many of our other authors are women who have struggled against biases, prejudices, and the antagonism of a system and specifically an industry that seeks to discredit or discourage women from telling their stories.

Visit our website to find those stories, and even see a few of our authors reading selected chapters, and find a book that inspires you to tell YOUR story next.

Happy 2nd Anniversary to this book cover! Years and years in the making, and truly a 'work of heart', Amanda Rotach Lamkin, Author has created an adventure story, mixed with coming of age, and recognizing our own innate worth ...even if we're absolutely normal. Look for it on Amazon or at PixelandPen.Studio.

K.A. DaVur returns with the next installment from the Hausman Guild series - Pepperoni with a Side of Flies! This one has us following the adventures of Tony "Pepperoni" as he struggles with finding time to join his friends on adventures in and out of school, but also keep up with all of his responsibilities at the restaurant, and all the changes that face a young boy of his age - like turning into a monster?!

Just in time for the spooky season, this book continues the tradition of being fun for young adults to read, or parents to read to their children, and entertaining everyone involved. If your kids are looking for something with some GROSS and SCARY and SUSPENSEFUL - but you are having trouble finding something appropriate for their age that doesn't make all the adults look like buffoons, PEPPERONI WITH A SIDE OF FLIES is your solution!

Who is Amanda?

Amanda Rotach Lamkin always knew she wanted to be an author when she grew up. She still plans on growing up someday, but in the meantime she’s too busy being a mom, a wife, a publisher, and an author. She has written children’s picture books, young adult adventure novels, post-apocalyptic dystopian tales, and paranormal romance murder-mysteries. In her spare time, such as it is, she owns Line by Lion Publications, an independent international press that helps other authors’ stories come to life. She is an avid and voracious reader, will watch sappy movies that make her cry every time, and falls asleep to the sound of gun battles in action flicks.

She currently does her writing on a small farm in Louisville, KY, where with her husband she is raising four kids, a small garden, and a number of animals that are mostly rescues who are now living their best life.
