Why do I make 🤷🏻‍♂️. I don't know why, I just always have. I love trying to figure out how to build things. I also love to learn new things. Plus, I can spend twice as much and wait 3 times as long making it instead of buying.

Why do I teach? It's for letters like this that I received from a student. I taught this young man for many years and never realized he was squirreling away pieces from projects all along. The day he graduated he left a box in my car with this note and a knife he forged for me. The knife is nice, the note is even better. These are the kids that make teaching worth it.

My name is Tim and I've been a maker for as long as I can remember. I've been a shop teacher for the past 25 years. I work mostly in wood and metal but have created in almost every material out there. I love learning new things and I'm not afraid to fail miserably at something.
