No próximo dia 27 de Agosto, seria o 81º aniversário do nascimento da consagrada cantora cabo-verdiana Cesaria Evora, assinalado após o seu desaparecimento físico como Dia dos Pés Descalços.

É altura de celebrar a vida da diva dos pés descalços, que nessa condição de natural e genuína simplicidade, ergueu ao cume a bandeira do seu país, até então desconhecido em grande parte do mundo.

Diminuiu a saudade na distância, enquanto espalhou o fervor do seu fundamento, para lá de uma diáspora sequiosa da essência que transportava consigo e que trespassou todas as barreiras.

O Dia dos Pés Descalços comemora o começo do legendário percurso de vida e carreira que colocaram Cabo Verde no mapa mundial.
