Bran-Nu Entertainment Bran-Nu Entertainment BNE is a multi-faceted organization specializing in artiste management, music production and distribution, publishing and licensing.

When you see their logo, you know they mean business – serious business - and that is just what Bran-Nu Entertainment has been doing since their inception. Founded in 2004 by Jamaican-born CEO, Rhoan Bromfield, Bran-Nu Entertainment (BNE) is an independent record label based in Washington, DC but making their name known the world over. They have been a strategic driving force in exposing Hip-Hop a

nd Reggae music to unconventional markets, whether utilizing high-end marketing techniques such as securing licensing deals for their artistes with airlines travelling to territories such as Europe, Africa and Asia or grass-roots campaigns targeting sound systems and mixtapes. BNE’s promotional exploits have generated features on national television and airplay on radio stations across the Caribbean, United States of America, and Europe, paving the way for their artistes to perform to thousands in packed auditoriums and share stages with several iconic figures. Bran-Nu Entertainment also makes significant contributions to various charitable organizations and gives back to its community by sponsoring various events in and around Washington, DC and in Jamaica. Surely, their work has not gone unnoticed. BNE’s CEO, Rhoan Bromfield, recently received an award nomination for Producer of the Year for the EP, RUTH, while their Reggae artiste, Ruth-Ann Brown, won total of three awards at the 15th and 16th Washington DC Reggae Music Awards. In August 2012, The Jamaican Nationals Association, Inc. in conjunction with the Embassy of Jamaica presented Bran-Nu Entertainment with an award for Excellence in Jamaican Entertainment & Culture and Outstanding Support to the Caribbean Diaspora in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. In fact, BNE was the only company to receive this honor in commemoration of Jamaica’s fiftieth year of independence.

“We're humbled by the nominations and awards because of the simple fact that our work is being recognized by our own Jamaican community in the Nation's Capital, Washington DC”, stated producer Rhoan Bromfield.

"Music is a matter of struggle. It's not good that it's known you're from Trenchtown. Reggae is a confrontation of sound. Reggae has to have that basic vibrant sound that is to be heard in the ghetto. It's like playing the drum and bass very loud. Those are the basic sounds. A classical reggae should be accepted in any part of the world. Freedom, that's what it's asking for; acceptance, that's what it needs, and understanding, that's what reggae's saying. You have a certain love come from hard struggle, long suffering. Through pain you guard yourself with that hope of freedom, not to give up....”
