Analysis: Last night, in a blast of Christmas malice, President Donald Trump gave an enraged, vicious, falsehood-filled 20-minute speech to the nation from the White House. It seemed like he strung together his most unhinged Truth Social postings and fictitious statistics, insisting that there was no affordability crisis, that everything was great, and all problems were someone else’s fault. It was as though he thought that if he yelled loudly enough, was angry enough and talked quickly enough he could reshape reality the way he wanted.
Florida pundit and Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson, with decades of political experience, thought the speech reeked of pure panic and desperation and marked a turning point. A link to Wilson’s 40-minute video analysis “What the HELL was that speech?” can be seen here: https://www.againstallenemies.net/p/what-the-hell-was-that-speech.
