Women's History Month: It is important to remember to take time to celebrate women in FX's history.

Milicent Patrick (born Mildred Elizabeth Fulvia di Rossi; November 11, 1915 – February 24, 1998) was an American actress, makeup designer, special effects artist, and animator.

Born in El Paso, Texas, Patrick spent much of her early life in California, most notably in San Simeon, as her father, Camille Charles Rossi, was superintendent of construction at Hearst Castle. In 1939, Patrick began working for Walt Disney Productions and became one of the studio's first female animators. Patrick continued her career at Universal Studios and is cited as being the first woman to work in a special effects and makeup department. She is best known for being the creator of the head costume for the iconic Gill-man from the film Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954).

Today we received word that our latest film “The Burned Over District” has been picked up by Tubi and will be available for streaming soon!

“The Burned Over District” is truly a work of art! It’s an original folk horror story crafted by the visionary team Coleman Bros Films, written and directed by James Coleman and Vince Coleman and produced by myself, Baird Hageman and White Lion Studios, LLC. The movie features stellar performances by Amy Zubieta, Jon Harvey Sheedy and Michael Chase. Special FX master Michael Del Rossa brought to life the supernatural terror and lifelike gore. Genius maestro Mike Chibante delivered a brilliant original soundtrack. Kaylin Cervini won an award for her amazing production design for the movie.

“The Burned Over District” filmed in Rochester, West Seneca and Niagara Falls, NY. It was produced with the help of Paul Kudela and Jason Haug. The film took home several awards at HorrorHound last year and is now ready to grace TV screens in living rooms across the nation.

So get your 🍿 ready because this movie is a seriously scary thrill ride from beginning to end!!! Stay tuned!
