In 2001 HAMAFilms became the first indigenous company in the Eastern Caribbean to produce a feature-length film with the release of “The Sweetest Mango” a romantic comedy. This was followed immediately in 2002 with their second film “No Seed” a political drama. Another film, “Diablesse” based on Caribbean Folklore was released in 2005. Released on June 2n

More than 70 people attended the free screening of seven short films from around the Caribbean as part of the Commonwealth Foundations Caribbean Voices Short Films program. Among the countries whose films were shown were Jamaica, Belize, Grenada, St. Vincent & Grenadines, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, and Barbados. The event was hosted by Film/TV producer Mitzi Allen.
