So nice to reconnect with comedian Bobby Collins today. He was kind enough to accept my invitation to contribute to my new book tentatively called MY EVENINGS AT THE IMPROV. It is about my years in the 80's when I was a personal appearance agent for 35 stand-up comedians. I am now writing a book about those experiences. What about the title BACKSTAGE AT THE IMPROV? VIDEO OF THE DAY! Reaching outside the walls of professional sports, I was a Hollywood Personal Appearance Agent and Manager. During the years 1981 to 1986, I hung out at The Improv in Melrose Avenue when EVENING AT THE IMPROV hosted by Budd Friedman, began filming its television series at the IMPROV. I was there most every night and got to meet and get to know a bit, incredible talents like Milton Berle, Phyliss Diller and many more. The Unknown Comic Murray Langston was just one of the comedians on this show!
