Officers are currently responding to a serious collision on the A5 in Oswestry.

Due to the collision the road is closed from the Mile End roundabout heading towards Shrewsbury, and is expected to be closed for some time.

People are advised to seek alternative routes whilst emergency services are at the scene. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Table Top Sale at Pant Memorial Hall
A Table Top Sale is taking place on Sunday 24th November from 2pm to 3.30pm at Pant Memorial Hall to raise funds for the upkeep of the hall, which is a registered charity.

The event will see Christmas gifts, homewares, decorations, toys, books, games, puzzles and more being offered for sale. Most of the items are preloved and have been donated.

There is also a stall of canal-themed gifts, which is raising money for the upkeep of the George Watson Buck canalboat, moored in Llanymynech, which offers day trips for locals, visitors and groups in the summer months.

For most items, it will be ‘pay what it’s worth to you’ and organisers say, ‘everything must go’.

Other than the canalboat stall, which can accept credit cards, it will be a cash-only event. Entry is free of charge, so why not call in and bag a bargain?

The Cross Guns inn Pant is situated on the A483 in the Village of Pant in Shropshire. It serves food seven days a week.

When the hall was founded, a wooden plaque was placed in the building carrying the Roll of Honour for the Llanymynech side of the village. Sadly this plaque was lost during the refurbishment in 1981. We have reconstructed the Roll of Honour and you can read more about these men on the link.
