Dear Disciples of the Rock,

We hope this finds everyone well. We know we aren’t exactly known for being overly prolific on social media and such, mainly because not everything, every day is deemed newsworthy in our world, but without going overboard there will be days when we just might take things up a notch or two here. Today is one of those days. So, without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, we are absolutely delighted, over the moon even, to announce that we have signed a deal with Nuclear Blast Records. And that we have just finished the recording of our new album! Our first long player with original songs since “Rock And Roll Is Dead” in 2005 no less. It’s been sent off to the pressing plant and will see the light of day sometime in the first half of next year. More info on that shortly. We’ll start celebrating this today with our third album “Grande Rock” being available on all digital streaming platforms for the first time in, well, forever. There will of course be a physical re-release in the not too distant future but we’ll get back to you on that. Until then, be safe!

Cool show at the Screwdriver Bar in a couple of weeks with two super dooper cool bands for a good cause!

As you’ve probably heard, our drummer Kevin Fitzgerald suffered two strokes a few months ago and could use some help with his medical bills. We’ll be playing a set with our good friend Miles Ezra Freeborn in his place. There will also be special shirts for the occasion so bring cash if you’re interested!

THE LORDS OF ALTAMONT - Tune in Turn on Electrify.

The Lords are back with a bang. This is a definitely a record every rocker should have in their collection. A perfect mix of Detroit sound and garage psychedelic galore. The record starts with “Living with the Squares” a Stoogies like number and takes you by the throat and doesn’t let go till the end. And what do you do then? You wanna start it all over again. But I’m getting ahead of myself here. Every song is a scorcher and you can tell that Jake and the rest of the gang,like me, suffer of SRBOS (Sonic’s Rendezvous Band obsession syndrome) pretty common in our scene. That doesn’t mean they are just repeating a well established formula. On the contrary they add to that raunchy 70s sound their own and the result is quite fantastic! This one is gonna be pretty much on repeat for the rest of the year. Instant classic. A mention to the record label, Heavy Psych Sounds that doesn’t seems to skip a bit! 7/7

THE BOATSMEN “Vs. the Boatsmen”
Ghost highway Rec / Spaghetty Town Records.

New full length for these Swedish sailors in leather, and it’s smoking hot! We all know that when those two record labels are involved, you can be 100% sure that the record you’re about to play is going to be a ripper so I wasn’t surprised when I first took this hot piece of wax for a spin. What I wasn’t prepared for was the extra excellent quality of it. So let’s review it. Song writing; top of the class. Musicianship; maestro level. Production; Class A. Humor; party time hilarious! Ok, don’t get me wrong, they are not trying to re invent the wheel here but they learned their lesson pretty well and with their personal spin they concocted a solid handful of Action Rock future anthems. Imagine a poppier version of TrBngr with some splash of The Dwarves, Young and Good Looking era, all mixed up with some ice and tequila. I’m not gonna say the words: “Record of the year” because it’s too early and I think that’s baloney BUT...you know what I mean, right? Now go order a pizza, pour yourself a glass your poison of choice, place the needle on “Vs The Boatsmen” and get ready to party hard.
