When I saw this dress I just couldn’t resist it, it’s soooo not like anything I would normally choose but I just fell in love with it! And it’s only from from the collection (a few months ago though).

My initial intention was to buy a more expensive dress as it was for my cousin’s wedding but the flouncy floatiness frillyness just won me over!

Paired with simple make-up and a low bun. The low bun was partly for the kind of Spainish look and partly to keep me cool!!

I don’t know when we took our first ‘couple pic’ together but this is from pretty far back! Judging by my tan it could’ve been summer 2007 and the Cook Island tan was still going strong, topped up by a couple of holidays or possibly 2008 but definitely in Lloret de Mar at ‘HTID in the sun’.

Today marks 17 years together!! 17 years is just mad, whole new people have been born in that time and can now drive! Social media has gone from a few people posting telling their friend that “Fiona is eating crisps” or “Fiona is tired” to a constant stream of information and activity overload. In some ways I’m sad that it wasn’t as it is now with phones as we would have far more photos from the early days but equally it also meant we just did ‘us’ with no pressure to behave in an instagram perfect way.

We popped to Brighton for a day last summer and got a pic with the girls at the spot where we first met, outside Wetherspoons, near Churchill Sq car park! Might seem like a very dull place to most but to us it’s where our story began, a story which is travelled many miles, which has produced two fantastic daughters and has recently seen us through a stressful house renovation and back surgery!

Here’s to another 17 years? Crikey I don’t even want to work out how old I’ll be then! 🤣

How is it 4 years since me and had the best trip away to Miami and The Bahamas?!

We worked out on Miami Beach (ok just took a pic 😂) watched the most beautiful Miami sunrise, held a baby alligator, went on the highest water slide in the world, saw a 6 ft version of my face and wore a snorkel face mask (little did we know it wouldn’t be the last mask we would wear that year!)

Fantastic trip and amazing memories… I’m definitely excited for more travel this year! ✈️

I will never get tired of beach walks. I always feel so lucky and grateful to live in walking distance of the beach. It might mean more travelling when it comes to work sometimes but it’s something I’m happy to suffer! Summer beach days are amazing but winter beach walks are just so beautiful 🌊. Plus so grateful that Darren is on the mend and able to come for walks too before heading back off at weekends again in a couple of weeks.

Taken today during a shoot for by another model. Such a lovely morning walking around the stunning gardens! Forever thankful that my job is different from one day to the next and that I get to meet lots of wonderful people too and that I get to walk around beautiful places like these gardens! 🌳

So thankful for a fantastic few days away to Amsterdam and Bangkok with Darren. I was there to help him as he has a pr*****ed disc in his back… silver linings and all that for me though!

I love travel and we got to see lots of fab things in Amsterdam and visited some great places in Bangkok too. Got 2 nights sleep out of 4 and it was a complete whirlwind but I’m so appreciative to get these opportunities 🙏🏼.

Off to plan the next adventure now! ✈️

We haven’t changed a bit 😉😂.

Today we are celebrating 11 years married… so I’m throwing it back to 2008 (a year after we got together).
It’s mad looking back and remembering all the things we’ve done together over the years.

We’ve had a lovely day, gorgeous lunch out, sofa shopping and a glass of wine on the way home! Rock and roll! 😂.

Summer has been… well challenging! Since February we have undertaken a complete renovation on our house which meant we ended up moving out for 2.5 months over summer. There were air B&Bs, hotels, sleeping on floors, living out of bags, carrying our lives in the car 😂. We’ve also been juggling Darren’s always busy work schedule and I’ve had a really busy summer for work too. All that with the girls on summer hols and trying to keep them entertained and spend time with them has not been easy! My mum and dad have helped massively with the girls, with having us all, with dinners and with the dog!! But it’s definitely been a juggle. Every spare moment we’ve had has been spent cleaning/sorting the house, boxing up, emptying boxes, painting furniture, dump runs (oh so many dump runs!) whilst also trying to get some sleep!
But we are seeing the wood for the trees now! We’re back in the house, it’s getting much closer to being done and the girls are back to school!

Throughout it all I’ve walked Nessie almost every day and the beach is and will always be my calm place, there is nothing better than sand underfoot and the sound of the waves and watching a little fluffy dog have the time of her life.

I’m proud of this man 🥰 literally working his DJ socks off this month (that reminds me I need to get the washing out of the machine or he won’t have any socks!)

He’s away for 21 days out of 30 in April. He (and I) are so fortunate that he is so busy but it’s a huge amount of travelling, lots of not having home comforts around and lots of missed hours of sleep. That’s why I spent more hours travelling than I was actually in Manchester for to spend a bit of time with him and join him on the last night of the Clubland tour and to be a little part of what he’s been doing.

And we made it back for an Easter egg hunt 🥚 with the girls and fun day planned with our friends 💥🎡.

Had a rare meal out with at the weekend to celebrate 16 years together (😱).
Didn’t take one photo of the two of us but luckily got a selfie in the loo 😉.

Decided I fancied wearing a skirt and paired it with my fave oversized blazer and some knee high boots… think I may have been inspired by watching re-runs of friends as this is giving me Rachel Green vibes!

🥰Feeling very very fortunate. I’ve had such a great day today at a shoot for a well known brand. And I get to do this as my job!! Having a long gap in my career having my girls has made me appreciate it even more. Being able to model, act and present for a living is something I’ll never take for granted. I buzz off working with new people (and old!) in this creative industry and I want to do it until I’m old, grey and wrinkly!!!

Ok so I’m a couple of weeks late but I can’t not put pics from our adventure up Snowdon on my grid!

I’ve wanted to do it for SO long and as we were in Liverpool for Darren’s work it just made sense that we tied it in to the trip!

It was HARD, well we did take one of the hardest paths and it was a hot hot day with about a 40 minute scramble to get to the top. So exhilarating though and one to tick off the list! Plus a lovely stay the day before in a cute B&B with a hot tub overlooked by sheep.

Super birthday, ready for another year of adventures.. what’s next ???

❤️Very proud of this little lady! We got booked on a Mum and daughter modelling job in Majorca and she has been a little star. Polite and smiley and adapting to all kind of situations that not all 9 year olds experience!

I’ve never ‘pushed’ my girls into modelling/acting etc but I do believe it’s all the different experiences in life that you find yourself in that helps to shape you as a person so I love that Grace has been able to experience this… plus we have literally had a little mini break in Majorca too! Not sure there’s many jobs that’ll top this one! ☀️

Big love to Millie too for being very understanding and to my mum for stepping in to look after her as Darren has also been elsewhere in Europe all weekend working (and ironically will be in Majorca on Thursday 🤦🏽‍♀️)
