I’ve learned to not throw the ugly ones away finally😉 I did a batch of Italian macarons this week to test an old recipe my friend gave me and the thing with Italian macarons is you don’t rest them as long as you do French or Swiss method (my norm). if you do you get what are called lopsided macs. Italian macarons are great because you get a nice shine and they’re super stable, but as with all new recipes and macarons in general there are always mishaps and kinks along the way 😉 The great thing is they still taste amazing!! So don’t be discouraged when things aren’t perfect🫶

This week we’re changing up our bread and replacing banana with this delicious Strawberry bread with accompanying strawberry glaze🍓I will only have mini loaves available this week, if you love it and would like a full loaf I’ll make them available for pre-order next week!!💖 You can grab these babies along with our donut muffins in cinnamon sugar and double chocolate chip, a variety of macarons including last fourths fave the Bomb-Pop! Our meringue bars, a variety of cake pops, and more tomorrow night at the @salemfarmersmarket 5-8pm and then again 8-12 Saturday morning! These night markets are great for those looking for something fun to do on a Friday night or if you’re not a morning person😉 I unfortunately will not be able to attend the Grandin Chillage tomorrow.

Baker Post! Today I found out I’m no longer diabetic, I found out as soon as I woke and saw my A1C was in the norm and it has put me in the best mood all day! I have had the best baking day in quite awhile and I’m just so happy to be blessed enough to do this as my job. I’ve been trying for 8 years to grow my business into what I thought I wanted, but it was a box that I thought I had to be in. TikTok is a new avenue I’m going to try my hand at, being a creator has intrigued me for some time and I just have been too afraid and thought too little of my abilities to try it. But not anymore! I will still sell retail but I’d love to open the door for content creation, recipe sharing, day in the life videos and more!! Taking the leap, because being a single mother trying to make things fit in this box isn’t working and I’m feeling the financial stress. It makes it not fun to bake anymore and I would be lying if I didn’t admit the thought of getting a regular job and stopping P&S hasn’t been on my mind. It would hurt my soul though, so I need to pivot and make something else work that will allow me to do what I love!!! I can’t give up before I try💖

Additionally, our best-selling Salted Caramel meringue bars, dipped in gourmet milk chocolate and sprinkled with Maldon salt, will be available.
