"It's time to smoke ci******es and think about capitalism." - the phrase that started it all, nearly a year ago. Since that fateful incidence, the author of this page has indeed smoked many a cigarette and placed letter after letter in the interest of polluting your thoughts. This blog critiques American mass culture for its lack of intellectual content, social aversion, and profiteering ways – in

the name of reason. It critiques American politics for its subservience to the dollar and its disrespect for the common man – in the name of society. It seeks to question that which America has become, and to find those moments where something else could follow. A perspective from the left of the political spectrum, mixing traditional Marxist and socialist ideas with a modern world.
