The Daily City brought Orlando the city's very first ever first Pop up Shop, its first Pop Up Dinner, its first Parking Space Takeover and its first Monthly UHaul Art Show. We introduced our Orlando readers to street food during our monthly event "Taco Truck Taste Test" which turned into the Orlando Food Truck Bazaar. We created the Orlando Flea in downtown Orlando. It was a 50+ vendor indoor shop

We also created the Downtown Indoor Farmers Market, a curated high end food market with drinks and lunch inside a lovely two story venue. The Daily City also created the 5th Annual Orlando Cardboard Art Festival, brought a monthly Night Market to Waterford Lakes Town Center, created the Audience Choice Awards for the Orlando Fringe Festival and started Meeting of the Orlando Minds (early morning monthly public brainstorm), Orlando Improv Festival, Orlando Panel Series (monthly expert discussion) and the Orlando Indie Media Meetup.

About The Daily City The Daily City covers activity in the Downtown Orlando area, the Main Street Districts, Lake Nona, and occasionally the tourist areas. Topics include new businesses and buildings, new people of note, and local government doings. The site began in 2007 and was recently re-launched in 2020.

About the Editor Mark Baratelli started The Daily City in 2007 after touring over 100 American cities and returning to Orlando. While writing, he discovered an unexpected love of creating and producing live events. He created the Orlando Improv Festival, Downtown Mobile Art Show, Waterford Lakes Night Market, Audience Choice Awards for Orlando Fringe Festival among other events. He was inducted into Orlando Sentinel's prestigious Culinary Hall of Fame and named one of Orlando Business Journal's 40 Under 40 for creating The Daily City's Food Truck Bazaar which launched the modern Central Florida food truck scene. He has two learning disabilities, anxiety, two cats and one partner.
